Suburban Studios Columbia - Hwy 63 & I-70

Only hotel I have stayed in where I had to clean the room before unpacking (couldn't even touch the handles without disinfecting them first). Smelled strongly of pee, killed 6 flies as soon as we got in, tv didn't work at first, a surprise "Linen" fee, ceiling started to leak, clogged tub, and felt generally unsafe. I've seen cleaner shelters. We only stayed because all other hotels were booked solid. Front desk was nice but that couldn't make up for the general nastiness.

Do NOT book a room here! They do not honor reservations! We arrived last night to find out they booked our room and had no other rooms! The man checking in before us also was without a room because they didn't honor his reservation either! Unbelievable! But let me tell you - I was actual thankful. The hotel looks eerie and unkept. The lobby smelled horrific like a filthy dirty smell - it was not a fresh and clean smell. So, we were left to find another place to stay because they didn't keep our reservation, which was a blessing in disguise!

I had made reservations for my daughter's college graduation. I even called the "hotel" on 3/29 to verify my RSVP. I spoke with Angie at 2: 05 PM who assured me everything was ready for our stay. I arrive on 5/12 to be told there are no rooms available and the property is undergoing "renovations. " There isn't enough paint on this planet to renovate that building. The property should be condemned. When you walk in, it smells of weed and regret. It's dark, dirty, and unfit for human habitation. Windows were open with fans propped in the window sills to move air OUT of the building (it was 80 degrees outside), trash was everywhere and stacked up by the dumpster; nothing about this property says, "Restful, comfortable, safe place to stay. " It was 4: 15 in the afternoon the day before my daughter's graduation in a city that was completing booked up and we have no where to stay. Then, I was told that the hotel could not give me a refund because they didn't make the RSVP, I had to call the company through which I made the RSVP. Long story short, I will be filing a dispute with my credit card company to get back my money. Worst place ever.

Many locals live there who have an obvious addiction of some sort.

DO NOT STAY HERE! Literally the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at had the worst experience! My room didn’t have any hot water and was very dirty. I was with my 5 month old son. They over booked and couldn’t/ wouldn’t switch my room or even let me get a refund! For the nights I didn’t want to stay I ended up staying at a totally different hotel and lost out on 400 because they are privately owned the general manager said it was up to her and she wasn’t giving me a refund. Not to mention half of the staff stays on the property. The general manager is ugly inside and out and very unprofessional.

Location wise it's real close to all kinds of shopping but as far as the hotel itself and service it's not the best at all and all types of ppl stay there and even tho they have a sign in of guests but they don't really care it's just there for the sake of police to make them happy so it keeps them off the radar as far as knowing who's coming and going from there

Lowest rated hotel in the area for a reason. Homeless camp next door and cops are there frequently for domestics etc

Hotel is infested with bedbugs, neither room had a woring tv, took them 4 days to put ONE in the room, they were supposed t move our room due to the bed bugs, all they did was take a boxspring out off One of the beds. When asked for a refund of the remainder of the 8 days i had paid in advance i was told no then received nothing but hostile and rude treatment from the actual GM and 1 of the front desk workers and has an absolutely horrible attitude along with the other front desk and "housekeeper" who slammed the door in my and my 10 year Olds face. I wouldn't recommend this place unless you want nothing but stress, attitude and completely ignored.

Listen, Suburban has really nice hotels, I've stayed in them. THIS ISN'T ONE OF THOSE LOCATIONS! They were in the middle of a MUCH MUCH needed remodeling, but trash on the parking lot is ridiculous. There's no ice machine. I knew when the attendant told me to go check out my room before I checked in, it was all bad. At least she was honest and super helpful with a great attitude. It was an African American woman with glasses. She was the best highlight. Well, the only highlight. She deserves to be in a much better place that matches her outgoing personality. Anyway, this review was posted 2/22/23. If you book in about 3 months from today, things may be better. But for now, book somewhere else so you can save yourself the disappointment. You've been warned ohhh ps, I'm nor posting any pics. It was that bad.

I wish I had read the reviews on this page before booking a hotel with these people. I planned my trip 6 weeks. Despite this they called me hours before check in to tell me that the hotel was fully booked. They offered me a room at one of their sister hotels in town. However, the prices they offered me at these hotels was more expensive than if I just booked it on my own. To be clear. I booked suburban suites for $68 a night. They offered me Quality Inn for $78 or Best Western for $94. Then I booked that same Quality Inn for $72 on my own. So please take the next few moments to read the rest of these reviews and go book another hotel.

Their reasoning for being fully booked was that they allowed guests to extended their stay at the hotel and also that part of the hotel was under construction. Now I see they have used this excuse multiple times over the last few months.
