I have bed bugs and the management ain't very friendly and they're very rude and hateful and disrespectful

This place is a joke. People yelling down the hall at all hours of the night. Not LGBTQ friendly in any sense. Small town, small minds.

I'm so glad to be turned down because after putting in the application I read the reviews and this hotel or motel is a disgrace. I have experience in hotels not nasty bed bug roach infested motel that you have. A guest would never return and myself as a housekeeper would never think to stay in a disgusted, smoke smell, dirty carpet, nasty sheets, nasty bathroom room. Thank you for declining

Alright motel. Stayed here a couple of times like 5 years ago but it was pretty dirty compared to other places I’ve been to and the building looks run down and old.

Went to ask if we could see a room before making a decision to stay. Was told “ we don’t do that here”. Would not recommend to anyone. Just a matter of time before this places closes due to management and poor maintenance and upkeep from the condition of the outside of the building.

I chose 3 stars because it was functional, but not flashy. To aid in decision-making, I'll try to be objective and detailed. The room, at first glance, looks clean - floors, sheets, bathroom, etc. But, there was debris in the drawers and leftover beverage in the fridge, so I know they're not cleaning everywhere. AC works great, as do the shower and sink, but the room is in a bit of a state of disrepair - paint chipped from wall, mismatched paint where someone tried to repair, rust on metal surfaces like the wall lamps and suitcase rack, etc. The fridge is a newer full-sized minifridge, so we were able to hold all of the food we brought and keep it at the correct temperature. The microwave was spotless. AND it DID have a coffee maker in the room (although the website claimed that it didn't.) The shower and sink have plugs so you can give a baby a bath or wash bottles in the sink. The breakfast was quite lacking - not much variety and no protein sources available (waffles and sugary pre-packaged breakfast snacks.) BEWARE! This is also an extended stay for long-term guests, so there were plenty of people lurking on premises watching you come and go. It's not criminal, and nobody was rude or acting dangerously (probably just people-watching), but I still found it to be a bit off-putting. We largely entered and exited from the door on the north side of the building. The exterior door opens to a foyer where a person can then either go upstairs or enter another door to the 1st floor hallway. Neither the exterior door, nor the door leading to the hallway, had a lock, which I found unusual. The staff is VERY polite, easy to work with, and professional in their interactions. But the housekeeping is a bit lacking. They took out our trash, but did not remake the bed or swap out our dirty towels. With Covid, some of those items have gone away in many places, but there's usually some posting about it and how to opt in to those services, should a person desire. Needless to say, we were caught off guard when we returned after a long day. The location is great - easy to get into and out of and off to your destination and located conveniently close to restaurants and grocery stores. Check-in and Check-out were quick and easy. Overall, the rooms were fairly quiet given high occupancy and proximity to a major road.

For every positive, there was at least one negative, so I've rated them a 3. I'd likely bump up to a 3.5 if it were an option, just because they staff was all really nice and helpful. I booked through Wyndham and paid the nonrefundable price, so it worked out to about $80/night. There were no surprise charges from our stay and I'm honestly not sure we could find accommodations at a lower price (or even the same price.) Whether or not this is the best place for YOUR money is up to you. I tried to give an accurate description to help you decide.

Personally, I'm not ready to write this place off just yet. Most of my negatives are things that could be fixed over the course of a weekend with a little elbow grease and some money, so we may give it another try the next time we are in Smithville.

Made reservation on 11/12/21, had to cancel but was charged 242 cancelation fee if canceled after 11/11/21. Hard to cancel 0n 11 when reservation was not made until the 12th. They w gouge you for every penny.

Owners were friendly. Can't beat the price if you last minute nope out on camping by the lake. Breakfast was surprisingly versatile for being a simple a la carte. My room could have stood being aired out just a bit but they had some for hire signs so I'm sure that problem gets resolved in time

Horrible customer service, and mice in the rooms! Also. Over priced for sure. There are much better hotels down the road! For less money!

Zero stars. Advertising $59 rooms then charge you $90+ when u get there. Plus it's a dump. Broken windows, air/ heat doesn't work, supposed to have a fridge and micro but they were missing. STAY AWAY FROM THIS DUMP!
