SureStay Plus Hotel By Best Western Kearney Liberty North

This property is always clean, has ample parking for our van and trailer, and the workers are warm and welcoming. We have stayed here numerous times traveling across the country and am just now starting to write positive reviews because I rely on them so much. We enjoy their complimentary breakfast choices and there is an outdoor pool, but we travel January and March. We will continue to stay here because of cleanliness, safety, parking, & price.

Super clean, friendly staff, well laid out, spacious room,
Quiet, great location. When I have to stay close to the City,
this will now be my home away from home.

Don't let the positive reviews fool you. This place is a dump. I booked this room on Priceline and knew the minute I walked into the hotel I made a mistake. The common areas are full of dark and dirty carpet with lights that flicker. The whole hotel smells of smoke and Axe body spray. When asked about the pool we were told it was after the pool hours. It was not. Turns out the only pool there was an outdoor one that was covered for the season.

Toilet in the room had a ring around it and the room smelled overwhelming of Axe body spray. To the point I struggled to sleep. It's a cover smell for something and made me sick.

To top it all off I had the plates on my trailer stolen while parked there. They barely have any cameras and they are in a bad area. Do yourself a favor and avoid this dump. I'm surprised they survived COVID.

Edit: I am not mistaken. The carpet referred to are in the hallways. Your back lot is lit but there are no cameras according to the police there. I assume they would know.

We booked and paid online through Best Western, but when we arrived they wanted to charge us for the room again. Once that was straightened out, went to the room and when we closed the door we found two cockroaches on the back of the door. There was also some smaller bug crawling on the toilet seat and a black ring in the toilet bowl at the water line. We left immediately.

Our family got to the hotel at 1230am, super tired from driving. The front desk staff was very nice and the room was clean and updated. Floors seem brand new and beds were comfy. For breakfast, there was all the basics plus biscuits and gravy and a super cool pancake machine. The woman tidying up the breakfast area stopped what she was doing and kindly showed our 7 year old son how to use it. Our son asked if we can always stay here when we travel. Great gem of a place!

When driving across the country with dogs, your choice of places to stay overnight is limited. As a result, we've stayed in some less than ideal locations: dirty, small rooms; poor amenities; and sometimes no good places to walk the dogs. Fortunately we had none of those issues here. The room was large and clean, the bed and furnishings were great, and we had plenty of great areas to walk the dogs when they needed it. It was wonderful to actually be able to relax for a night before heading out again in the morning. If I'm ever in the area again, I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Not too clean. Saw a couple bugs. Window was broken. Bed was broken and made lots of noise just getting in and out of it. Breakfast was decent as was the coffee. They also take an extra nights stay off your card without letting you know they're doing it.
All in all, not horrible. Probably will pick somewhere else to stay next year.

So this is a budget hotel and you should expect as much! I will say I've slept in 4 star hotels that didn't have this comfortable of a bed! It was AMAZING! You can certainly tell that the owner is doing everything possible to move up in rank on hotels. He has even painted the window unit vents on the outside to match the paint! Amazing customer service even though there was a communication issue about breakfast. For the price I certainly recommend!

Simple small town hotel right outside of KC, not a great room but for the price it is clean and an easy pull off from the interstate. Free breakfast, a pool, trailer/RV parking, cheap rates, nice area, pleasant staff.

We are currently staying here and let me tell you. This hotel gets great reviews from us. From check in (didn't get the guys name but he was super nice) to breakfast this morning. Nancy and her husband have been so amazing and made us feel like we have known them for ever. Super great people. The hotel smelled good the minute we walked in and the room was to my standards clean. We're from Colorado but this will be our hotel any time we're in town. We're here for a wedding and I really want to THANK YOU all so much. ️

Not the best hotel. Booked on Priceline. Hard floors in rooms…no carpet. Clean but a bit stark in the room. Exit door not secure. Location is not good if you’re visiting KC. You’re far!

Rooms were clean and the staff were helpful, we spent a comfortable two nights here. Incredibly nice that they offer a room with three queen beds, works great for a family/large group!

Absolutely fantastic experience, staff is friendly and polite. Rooms are neat, although little distance from Kansas city but wonderful place to stay. Pool is clean.
