I called to get price to have my end trimmed. The stylist said I would have to get a style service as well. I asked the price for straightening and ends trim, she told me $65. Upon completion of the style and trim she charged me $89. $59 for the straighten, $30 for ends clipping. It's really upsetting because this shop is six minutes from my house and I thought I finally found a nice place to get my hair done. $30 to get my ends clipped is insane.

The natural products here have a strong, unpleasant scent. They are definitely not for everyone. I was led to believe that using these products were optional during my expensive 2 min consultation a week before my appointment. I arrived for my appointment and told them that I couldn't bear the smell of the product samples they gave me so I brought my own products, but was also willing to use any other products they might have. The owner refused for legal reasons and cancelled my appointment. She also claimed not to know any other natural hair stylist in STL. It felt cruel for her to leave me hanging the afternoon before my flight out of town for Thanksgiving. Thankfully, a stylist at MJ2 in Florissant was able to take me and treated me with care and kindness, and gave me a beautiful style. I would highly recommend MJ2!

If I could leave 0 stars I would. I booked an appointment online for a consult a shampoo an end cut and complimentary flat twist. When I arrived at the salon no one was at the receptionist desk to greet me and when the stylist finally came out she tried to make me pay for an appointment I cancelled a YEAR AGO I understand cancellation policies but you should’ve charged my card when I first cancelled a year ago! She then proceeded to say I can only get a consultation today because the website states all clients have to book a consult first which why I booked the consult and shampoo together! She also stated she would have to charge 100 dollars to detangle my hair which I didn’t have a problem with. I was told to fill out a consult form only 45 minutes after my scheduled appointment only to be told by Lawanda she cannot do my hair today, mind you her schedule is very OPEN (I booked the night before and had my pick of the litter) I wish I would come back to this ghetto unprofessional establishment and I would never recommend coming to her salon. I don’t even have this problem w the young hair doing girls. I will be blasting this business on every platform known to mankind. The disrespect I was treated with is completely unacceptable! Lawanda is wayyy too old to be this unprofessional!

Love their Mint Shampoo and Conditioner. It leaves my scalp feeling fresh and tingly. Her Tumeric bar soap is a favorite too.

I made this appointment to go out for my birthday today. I arrive at the shop to find it closed. I checked my text messages and no message but after looking through my emails I see that I was sent an email 3 hours before my appointment to cancel by DaJuana Clemons. If I cancelled my appointment without a 24 hour notice they would charge me or I would not be allowed to return. NOT HAPPY AT ALL.
