Swope Health Central, Kansas City MO

I have been out of 2 if my medications for 2 weeks now. I am supposed to take them everyday to live because I have a brain aneurysm that ruptured. They are not narcotics at all. No one would help or listen to me at all. Everyone looked at me like I was just drug seeking. I don't think so, I would not take it if I could and live, but I can't. Finally after being turned away at where you first check in, I waited to talk to the lady at the desk right by the doors. I did not get her name, but she helped me! She is the only person who listened and took the time to help me when no one else would. If you ever have problems I would look for her! She is very helpful and caring! Just what you hope for at the Dr Office! I wish there were more people like her in the world! She made my horrible month end on a better day! Thank you so much!

Such a nasty and mean person I spoke to on the phone.bless her heart because she is very ugly inside…. I wish I got the name of the lady who called me… She told me the only way to get a ‘walk in appointment’ is to come in and wait for someone to miss their appointment.at least she was honest about the 1-2 month wait for mental health services. I hope she knows these are real people she’s talking to. People like that should not be working with mental health patients.

This is the worst dental office and worst on call after hours emergencies staff. Mr Cassie this morning on 7/14/2023 had no information for us to get emergency services with infection and teeth that lead to severe emergency surgeries done elsewhere not going to specify because it’s not business of Google, but I would not go here or ask Mr. Cassie anything because he does not know any of the answers. Clearly, I asked every single question that they should know for an emergency after hours on-call staff member and they just told me I don’t know I don’t know I don’t know, and then that time we wasted it just was a little too late for us.

I didn’t think I will be coming back to this place. The Dr. I had was basically pressed for time and in a rush. I didn’t get to talk about the other things that we’re going on with me. And I haven’t even gotten my test results back yet. I have called. I have sent the doctor a message on the patient portal. I still haven’t seen my prescriptions at all. They were not called in. And every time I call they would say it can take up to a certain amount of hours for someone to call back which they never do. I just will be going somewhere else. This is way too much.

Swope really need to see about some of their employees! Some are arrogant and rude especially at the front desk. Something needs to done about these nasty attitudes or who would want to go back there. Way too much. Out of all of the reviews that have seen so far the ones that are talking about how negative swope is still nothing is being done to even fix the problem like they don’t care. It’s a shame.

I can not speak on any other departments, but lets talk about the DENTAL department I came to this place because it was close to my house, and when I spoke with the receptionist I was sure that this was a wonderful place. She was soo sweet on the phone & when in person! Like she was everything & more. But when I got to the back it was like I was visiting hell. The lady that took me back was rushing, like they where about to close, it was 11: 34, criticizing my purse, and lastly she tried to stuff the red thing in my mouth for xrays numerous of times even after telling her, I can not bit down on this side, didnt offer to chage sizes or nothing, I left.now I have two swollen places on my gums, and there is skin missing from the inside of my mouth, idk know about the other dental assts.their but if she is white looking with an accent with grey hair runnnnn! Please save yourself

I think it's the best place to go for your mental health care and the dentist is fantastic thank you for all of your support

I’ve gone here for years, I don’t know what has happened since they changed things around but when you walk in their attitudes are nasty. When you go to the office you need to go to they’re awesome but the people that greet you need training. Because it makes you want to leave.

Great treatment, friendly staff. I was very impressed. Better than most all for profit practices and certainly better than any emergency room.

This place was awful. I went last year to get an intake and during the intake I was accused of LYING about having PTSD. I will not be returning for any reason. I'll just figure it out.

Worthless. Bad attitude of receptionist in pediatrics when we needed help. Didn't offer the bare minimum and refused to help us and had an attitude. Also the women's health center is messed up too because they forgot to record any results of my papsmear and I had to redo it

Hate this place! But it's the only place near me that takes my insurance. Avoid this place like the plague if you can.

This is one of the worst places in the city to get get medical care if u can even call it medical care. Incompetent rude nasty people and medical staff way below par. This place is why poor people get sick and die at a much higher rate is because a place like Swope is the only place they can get care. Enuf said.

That place sucks! I went there for assistance and I wasn't helpless enough apparently! Screw them never again

I have been suffering with mental health for years and have not been able to be seen they give me the run around waste my time and i have yet to receive treatment what mental health facility doesn’t schedule appointments for a new patient i was literally told i have to come up there and sit and wait for someone else to not show up in order to be seen seriously considering the “alternative”

I called to set up a appt for a dentist and was told to call back next mouth

I would not use them and they don't care

Horrible service by Dr Flemming.

Saw him for heart issues following covid, and he left the building in the middle of my visit. Didn't even bother to call me when my results came back with heart issues.

Tried getting him to fill out a PA for 4+ weeks. He kept claiming he did. Then weeks into it he had his nurse call me and tell me that I needed to see a specialist. I called medicaid directly. They told me he at no point sent in any paperwork, and that they did not need me to see a specialist.

He didn't even give me refills.

His negligence caused me to frequent the hospital in November and December.

Never been to a doctor who cares so little for the health of their patient.

And I was never rude or cross with him.

If you have to come here, and they try to stick you with him, I recommend you find another place or another doctor because this one will ignore your life threatening problems with no remorse.

I have had nothing but issues trying to get my prescription transferred to Walmart. It's exhausting two months later and I'm still trying. The staff is very polite. I'm not sure where the disconnect is on this but it's very very frustrating.
