Talburt Animal Health Center, West Plains MO

I've been bringing my pets to Talburt Animal Health Center since I was a little kid. They, and especially Dr. Gunter, have always gone above and beyond to provide exceptional care. They're very good at tending to your pets needs while also keeping you informed. I highly recommend Dr. Gunter and all his wonderful employees!

My 150 pound plus Great Pyrenees that had got his shots and was fixed at this clinic suffered no my basement floor for 5 days because these people would not drive 2 miles across town to put him to sleep. We tried everything to get him there but it was impossible. What a nightmare.

The staff and Veterinarians are so kind, knowledgeable, and have genuine regard for our pet family. I appreciate their integrity in providing the best suggestions & realistic advice. We recently had to put our sweet kitty Maggie to sleep. She was very sick and suffering and feel that we were supported in the most kind, gentle, and appropriate way. Been going to Talburt for about 6 years and 5 animals later. Great staff and Dr's. Good prices for services.

They're amazing with every furbaby I've ever brought to them and they have some of the kindest people ever.

They were very nice and took great with my puppy and even called the next day to check on him.

Front desk and Techs are amazing. The problem lies with the female vet. I didn't catch a name but was very short and rude from the start. I am on a limited income and when I asked how much an x-ray would be she said "if you can't afford an x-ray you can't afford treatment. " After the x-ray she proceeded to tell me that my dog needs bladder stone removal surgery. Very devastating news already but even worse to followed by the fact that she was shoving the care credit card down my throat. I understand it is an option for some but it's not for everyone. Once I told her no for the third time she answered with "fill it our" and then left the room completely ignoring my questions. She is rude and her bedside manners need improvement to say the least.

Super friendly staff. Hardly ever have to wait when I visit my friends. Very knowledgeable and they make sure you're on board with their plans for your best friends health. They listen to you if you're unsure about anything and they work with you. Can't recommend enough.
