Target Windows & Doors Inc, Vandalia MO

Had 4 Target windows installed by a contractor and one of the seals broke less than a month after installation. I have been attempting to get the window replaced via warranty for three years to no avail. They claim a contractor has the window and I have to work with him to get the window replaced but this contractor does not return calls and I am not even sure if he exists. Seems like the pair are working together to avoid warranty replacements.

Went with Target windows because I thought they were the best application for what i needed. I have an apartment building that needed 35 windows replaced. Spoke with Kevin from Target, I asked him if he would come to my building and take a look at what i needed. Decided to go with the best windows they have to offer. We determined what was needed and spoke about measuring window openings. I asked Kevin to help me measure a couple window openings to make sure i was giving him exactly what he needed. He would not help measure openings. He instructed us to get exact measurement of rough openings and said they would adjust window sizes to account for exact rough opening size. I sent in measurements for all 35 window openings, spoke with very nice lady after i sent in measurements, she confirmed all measurements with me. Placed my order and was very happy at this point. Everyone was friendly and i was looking forward to my windows showing up. When they arrived, they were built to the exact sizes of the rough openings. Obviously if you have ever installed windows, you know this will not work at all. I called Kevin and explained to him that the windows were built to exact rough opening and they did not allow room to fit like he told me they would when he was on site with me. He said that basically since I signed off on the order, i was stuck with 35 windows that were incorrect. Kevin did not provide me clarity of what specific measurements he needed. This is why I asked for his assistance on site with the measurements. You would think a salesman would be willing to demonstrate what he needed for me to get the correct windows. I will be contacting the BBB and explaining my situation with them. At this point i have paid over $7600 for windows i can not use without rebuilding all 35 existing window openings. I have called and left messages on the voicemails of Dan and David Dickerson. I will post an update if i get a response.

I have had diamond grid windows and non diamond grid installed in 2007 and we have had nothing but troubles since. I have Soo many pictures of failed seals on windows and they always fail when it gets cold. Nothing like having foggy spots show up and show off what we paid for! Which was a hefty price! 12 had diamond grids! Now I am told that I cannot get the sashes with my lifetime window replacement because not only the cherry color has been discontinued but they supposedly sent out a letter changing the warranty (Which I never received!). Their customer service was extremely rude and I was told "Sorry but I've had a bad day" and I had to pay to have them trucked out! I just want the windows to last and look good and not get the run-around! I will be getting with the BBB unless this is rectified. Why should I have to pay for someone else to come out and replace and tear up the existing sashes and install new glass? That was not the "Original Guarantee". I will post my outcome.

Update

Dan Dickerson of Target Windows came out to my house and measured and they replaced all of my problem windows. We will see how they react and and hopefully be correct. Thank you very much Dan!

The owners take a personal interest in keeping their company going to the next generation and it shows! Great work and workmanship! The girls in the office have all been great to speak with and I highly recommend them!
