The Art of Entertaining reviews
19We felt like we were dining out while we were dining in! Our $80 dinner for two was more than we expected and absolutely delicious! AOE always delivers!
EXCELLENT BUSINESS! Delicious and convenient carry away food and care packages of food. I love to bring this food to friends who are sick, have a loss in the family or just need a break from cooking. There is a large variety of main entrees, sides, wonderful soups which can be heated up. Don’t forget Desserts! Convenient hours and leak-free packaging. For a very minor upcharge, they will wrap your order in their signature bag with tissue paper and a ribbon. Like a gift! Such a nice touch! Thank you for having this convenient service and being so kind to your customers. 10 stars!
We ordered the 2022 NYE Dinner for two people. It was so delicious. Appetizer, fresh Salad, Asparagus, twice baked potato, dinner rolls, Tenderloin Modiga and cheesecake bar for dessert. Yikes so much food and it was delicious. Very affodable. I will definitely be using this company again. Thank you The Art of Entertaining for a very delicious New Years Dinner at home.
My wife and I were given some meals when on leave. The beef stroganoff did not have any flavor but the chicken Parmesan was better. It was weird our two meals would look totally different from one another. One would have so much more sauce the other would be noodle heavy. Price point was good:
I’ve heard about this wonderful company for a long time but had never used them. We ordered three trays for a party we had last night and not only were they delicious, there’s practically no leftovers!
Will definitely will be using these folks again. I know that other family members order from them on a regular basis and we may be doing that as well.
Highly recommend the roasted vegetables tray. Absolutely delicious.
Cannot say enough good things about the Art of Entertaining!
I purchased a single serving casserole of Beef Tips Madeira. It was delicious and generous enough to serve two people.
I stumbled upon this place by accident about a year ago and had to go inside after seeing the building. They had so many great pre made dishes! I got a take and bake Brie dip with caramel and nuts to take to thanksgiving with my family last year, and everyone loved it. I'll definitely be coming back!
Well most of the food was fine, we ordered three steak tenderloins of which one was in edible. Not only was it overdone but it had a terrible flavor and all the guests were unable to eat. When I called the manager of the company she said “that’s not possible because we all made them the same way“. I said “is there anything you would like to do“ and she said “I’m not sure what that would be. ” How about reimbursing for that quantity. There’s a start.
Since my husband passed away I have struggled to put meals together for one person. I stopped in by chance and have found a new favorite place.
I love this place! If it's one of those nights you don't know what to cook, they have a huge selection of delicious and nutritious foods. Very reasonably priced. Wonderful, cheerful staff.
I was expecting so much more when I saw how pretty the bag was and the way they handled the food. That is why I am leaving two stars and not one. The steak mini sandwiches were okay at best. The pasta salad was the only redeemable thing in the lunch box meal. The brownie was awful. Little Debbie comic brownies are much better than their brownies. Just overall not great.
So disappointed in the latest orders. It used to be so good. Shrimp & rice was all rice with a few little shrimp. Chicken Diane had breaded chicken but was mostly pasta. The appetizers were small and overpriced. Doubt if I will go back.
I have ordered sandwich trays, casseroles, soups, salads, wraps, dips, and cookies from The Art of Entertaining. Everything has been amazing! Cream sauces, cheeses, fresh basil, house made dressings etc…. You can expect the highest quality. Portions are generous. Everyone who works there has been helpful, friendly, and quick to help and answer questions. No wonder this place has been a Webster Groves landmark for years and years!
Not only are the meals amazing, but they package them up so lovely in care packages for all the big moments in life! It's my favorite gift!
We had a wonderful thanksgiving due to Art of Entertaining- Fabulous food and able to take a nap before guests. Thank you for this luxury!
There food is very good and our guests were going on and on about how great everything tasted. My issue was that we got our food at closing on Saturday and there was no one to help with a few issues. We didn’t get our sauce that went with the chicken and there were no heating instructions for one of the dishes. We also determined a couple items needs to be taken out of the service trays and heated on a sheet pan or the breading would have been mushy and not crisp. Then a couple things needs to be put under the broiler to brown on top or they would’ve had a strange unappealing look. Luckily we cook and could make adjustments. I left a message on their voicemail Saturday hoping someone checked in case of an emergency but no one called Saturday nor Monday when they opened. I thought that was poor customer service, especially considering we were missing items. They are a bit pricey but the food is great! If you’re not a good cook, ask
Lots of questions when you pick it up.
First time here. A little pricy. Portions are okay not generous by any means but enough. I had steak tips in sauce the au gratin potatoes and a tiny wedge salad. Flavors good. Well prepared. Easy to reheat in the microwave. A pretty good assortment of meals sandwiches wraps salads soups. Items well marked on the shelves. They have special "gourmet" dinner and lunch meals on Tuesdays Wednesday and Thursdays. Monday's and Friday's you pick from a regular menu. Regular meals available all week long.
Very easy service; pick, pay and leave. Also very easy to drop some bills. Don't go when you're hungry!
I go to this place every week, to get their Chicken Parmesan. The small bowl gives me two meals. I'm going to venture out and try something different next time! Good food, salads, casseroles, lunch special, cookies, pies. Try it out!
I moved to south county from TN this past year and have been kinda working out my places. You know- Schnucks vs Dierbergs. I've driven by The Art of Entertaining a few times and was curious. I pulled in the other day and selected a variety of items- an egg salad sandwich (haven't had one of these since I was a kid), a small carton of chicken salad, a small lasagna casserole, shrimp corn chowder soup, half loaf of italian bread and a turtle chocolate candy. My total was about $30, everything was fresh, well packaged and gourmet. I've tasted everything and still have some in the fridge. Wow! I don't cook this good myself. Forget curbside! I've found my new go to place for prepared food!
