The Boro & Den, Hillsboro MO

Food is good…not usually disappointing. Staff is nice but slow. Appears clean. The problem is the atmosphere. It is below average. It feels cheap as the dollar store. I don’t like to go. I do go from time to time for the fresh food especially the chicken spidini. (?) I just try not to look around or take-out.
I’ve had lunch, dinner and take-out here.

Great place. Last minute run. Found it and went. Food good. Service great. Prices are good, as well. My brother in law goes there for meetings with one of his groups he’s in. Loves the place. My dear friend says their coffee is fabulous, too.

This place is always great! The owners are so friendly.and staff is more than accommodating! Will be back

My daughter and I stopped by today for breakfast. The waitress was friendly and very attentive. We both ordered The Country, my daughter got scramble eggs and I got sunny side up. The eggs were perfectly cooked. The combination of hashbrowns, biscuits, sausage, eggs, and gravy (we added cheddar cheese) was DELICIOUS! I've been thinking about it all day, one of the best breakfast ever! The price was also very reasonable. We will definitely visit again.

This is the first time we have tried The Boro establishment. What great food and atmosphere. Our waitress was professional and attentive. We will definitely return!

Tried this tonight wasn't crowded yet got here at 5pm only did the dining not the bar staff was friendly food was good

We love this place. Haven't lived here but 2 years now and this is our go to for a good steak or fancy pasta. Absolutely love the corn nuggets too. Service is scarce but the server always does their absolute best to take of everything and get it done right. The food is always very hot and fresh, delicious, abd doesnt take too long. We will continue to keep goin back.

Best breakfast in Hillsboro. Lunch/dinner specials are always making me try something new and delicious

It was a Saturday night 630ish, several tables had left leaving only one table with about 12 people. We sat down and waited more than 10 minutes before we left. No one greeted us when we walked in, no one acknowledged us when we sat down. There were 3 servers. One working the big table, one cleaning off tables, and one walking around doing absolutely nothing. We love the food and have eaten there several times, but we won’t be going back.

Food was delicious and our waitress was so polite. Had surf and turf with real fresh asparagus and garlic mashed potatoes. Also got some fried cauliflower. Everything was cooked great and tasted wonderful. Forgot to take photos until after we ate. Will definitely go back.

Shannon is one of the owners along with Tom. I stopped in by chance. Just coincidentally had to appear in court for somebody and was walking to Hardee's to get a burger and realize that I helped open that store in the beginning and then moved on to other opportunities with no bad feelings involved on either party. But I previously work for her at the other establishment she owns which is a great place to eat as well saucy's pizzeria w/ several locations. You can always count on extremely great service great food great atmosphere great people with much appreciation for food preparation and presentation and overall dining experience. If you're going to spend money when you're out eating this is the place you need to go this is coming from 29-years experiences executive chef head chef prep chef line cook and general manager and 17 years veteran of IMO's pizza. And lots of top quality restaurants underneath my belt no fast food whatsoever. People that know me know I have a reputation when it comes to food and I only speak of excellence well this place strives for excellence if you spend your money anywhere else you're wasting it!

Food has always been excellent and large portions. We have come in a couple of times with large parties and they have been very accommodating. They have a large selection on their menu. Haven’t gotten anything I didn’t like and always had leftovers to take home.

Burger was good Southwest egg rolls over cooked and not a good dipping sauce available. Friendly service but food took a very long time.

Good food, good service. I have a dairy allergy, so i cant eat most things at grills like this. The staff were very accommodating in looking up ingredients to see what was safe for me, and in customizing the food.
I got a hoagie, which was delicious, and they cooked it in au jus instead of butter. Delicious. The meat and veggies were cooked well, and it certainly didnt taste like anything was missing.
Will go again next time Im in town.

When you pull into a place on a Sat. & no one's there that says it all. Should have left. Waitress was sweet & service great. Food was awful. Fake canned cheese, dried out pasta & low quality meats. Reasonably priced but now we know why.

I am disappointed to say that my last 2 orders were not good. My prior order was for an order of trashed wings, flats only and an order of traditional Buffalo wings and 2 orders of potato skins, when the order came they both looked to be traditional wings sopping with sauce and neither of the containers were marked or contained only flats. There was no sour cream in either of the containers of skins cost if this order, more than $70.00. This time I ordered trashed wings flats only and while they were only flats they also seemed to be traditional, again sopping in sauce, not the really crispy wings as trashed generally are. I know you know how to make them as I have ordered them many times from you but the last 2 times have been very disappointing and I am not sure I will order again cost of this order $30.00. For the cost of the food I feel that a better job could have been done.
