The Chicago Cheesesteak Company South reviews
13We were traveling back to TN and found you guys on the way through. Cheesesteaks were great! Large portions and great value for money.
Gentleman behind the counter wasn't very friendly wasn't rude, but wasn't friendly. I thanked him however he didn't even acknowledge me
Luv'd it as I instantly walked in to many good choices to make so will definitely b bac to ty another, my sandwich I got was steak with lettuce tomato vinaigrette on it, it was a lil dry thought some mayo would of helped but still good
Italian beef w/mozzarella and hot peppers
A little taste of Chicago
The order taker was a little overwhelmed today (it was pretty busy) and it turned out my to go order wasn't quite right.
But a call to the store was all it took to get things fixed.
There aren't many places outside of Chicago to get a Chicago style Italian beef sandwich that tastes as authentic as here, so there is no doubt I'll be back.
I didn't get fries today, but they are reminiscent of fries at the Maxwell Street Diner.

Absolutely the best service I’ve ever gotten, these guys know how to keep regulars coming back. Ps: the Philly cheese steak is the best
Cashew Chicken on a sandwich.need I say more staff was very nice and helpful in our decision-making for it being our first time there.
Dude working was super chill and friendly. Got the spicy Philly and it was the best cheesesteak sandwich I've had in years, if not my whole life. This place will definitely be the first thing on my mind next time I'm in springfield.
Hands down, my favorite sandwich shop in the area. Chicago sandwich, add a chicken tender and you'll never look back. Give them time to cook up your steak fresh and I bet you will come back for more.
I don't know if it's a new cook, but the food isn't as good as it use to be. I don't mind paying 15.67 for a combo. But, not for burnt fries and bread. Hardly no meat in the sandwich. The cash register asks for a tip before getting servers. But, wait I have no waiter serving me I get my own drink and my food isn't on a plate. The ketup bottles feels dirty. It's not worth 15.67 for me anymore.
The fries where over cooked. The oil needs to be changed. The meat for the beef sandwiches was the worst I ever had, and I'm from Chicago. Stay away. Very unfriendly. The place is dirty and should be cleaned. The fire sprinkler system was covered in dust and debri over the cooking station. The ventilation system for ac and heat was cover with filth. The heath department or fire safety needs to go in there. Will not return again.
I have been there 2 other times previously. Definitely could tell it was early on a Sunday. Normally place is definitely better. Seems they may have lightened up on the amount of beef in their sandwich? Took an unusual amount of time to get our food. I ordered the spicy Italian dipped. It was barely above room temp. However you can always count on the amazing fries. They never disappoint.
Can't go wrong with selecting any of their fare. Cooked to order. Great, fresh buns too.
30 min waits for your overpriced order when there is 2 customers. Rude staff more always. Not welcoming at all. If you need a cheesesteak fix, maybe, but usually never a good experience. Last visit caused the review
