The Family Arena reviews
14Unfortunetly, it is like most venues in the St. Louis area in making it difficult for people in wheelchairs to secure tickets for an event. The website doesn't show accessible seating. You have to call an ADA hotline during the hours of M- F 1200 - 6: 00. They don't answer the phone during those hours. You leave a message and no one returns your call. I don't understand why people with disabilities have to go through so many more steps to attend an event, Hopefully someone who has the ABILITY to fix this, reads this!
Great local venue for shows and concerts. Easy in and out for people with handicap issues. Only issue is they only have one elevator to get to upstairs seating.
WHAT THE HELL KIND OF PEOPLE DO THEY HAVE WORKING SECURITY AT THE FAMILY ARENA? We were there for my nieces graduation this weekend. Both my mom and grandma walk with canes. Their canes were taken from them by security, to go through the metal detectors! They obviously need them to walk. You can clearly see they're both elderly and have mobility issues. I guess next time they'll start pushing people out of wheelchairs and make them crawl through the metal detectors.
We went to family fun. It was expensive, but we had so much fun. They had a good variety of food and fun things to do.
Discrimination practices against the disabled at the Family Arena.
I an so disappointed in family arena. Went for a graduation and was told unopened bottles of water and diabetic monitors were not allowed, so people with disability’s are being discriminated against and turned away from seeing their loved ones graduate, because some disabled individuals need water with them at all times for medical reasons and diabetic monitors are needed and cannot be left at home. The Family Arena is discriminating against disabled people. I will be spreading the word about this injustice and I will be contacting the Missouri disability advocates.
Jurassic Quest was absolutely not worth the cost. The experience was made out to be something it wasn’t. We wasted almost $200 on it.
The Parking lot guides were Amazing! Needs more elevators for handicapped people! 1small elevator?
Very large arena. Could definitely use some renovation and a new top on the parking lot! Tickets for Jurassic Quest were very overpriced for the event, along with the cost of parking.
A little outdated in some areas but for the most part it’s a decent place to attend events.
First time there. Parking lot needs yellow lines repainted. The seats were difficult for the multitude of older people with arthritis. They were very low.
Terrible sound system and you are not told until you wait an hour in line and reach the doors that YOU CANNOT BRING IN YOUR PURSE!
Overall good.
Easy to find, park and get into. Security was present, but not overpowering.
The event, seating, etc very nice.
Exiting was a surprising breeze.
Thank you
The blippi show itself was great but the fact that they charge to park in a regular parking lot ruined the event for a lot of people. It took us 30 minutes to get 0.5 mile down the street into the parking lot only to realize the hold up was the fact that they were charging and that’s what was slowing down traffic m. I don’t mind paying for parking but the fact that it made us late for the show just to park in the only parking area even remotely close to the property was bogus. We ended up being late for the show. Went to get snacks during the 20 minute break and it took so long that by the time to got back to my seat show was over. Again show was great event space ruined it for me.
WORST parking experience! They had traffic backed up half a mile down the road because they had the slowest process for collecting payments and letting people into the parking lot. Got there early and still missed the first 15 minutes of the concert because of it
