The Gateway Arch reviews
16 Visited the museum and enjoyed the entire experience. Everyone should visit.
Will visit again
FREE
There is a free museum inside the building. If you want to know the history of St. Louis, it is a good opportunity to visit there.
Tt was foggy when I visited there. Cost is $12. Don't go up on a foggy day. You cannot see anything and will be disappointed.
We enjoyed the museum and the tram ride. Be ready for cramped quarters in the tram, they are tight cars, but the end is with it!
I really loved seeing the scenery of the arch. But I wish I was able to go inside of it but all the tickets were sold out
Love the history and the way the museum is grouped by Era. Parking is terrible, but the facility is nice.
Thought this would be lame when we were driving by but getting up close it was awesome 10/10 would visit again cool photo ops
Seeing it from afar is NOT the same as seeing it from up close. Definitely worth exploring and the $12 tour with tram ride to the top is a good deal. Very interesting piece of American history.
A must see if in the area. So happy to have visited in the off season as I can't imagine the lines and the waiting times in the peak season. I highly recommend prebooking tour times online as well as prebooking parking at the nearby garage about 2 healthy blocks away. Parking for up to 5 hours was $9 as of my posting date. Don't miss the 30 minute film showing the building of the arch. It truly is an engineering marvel that was completed in 1963, a must see for $12 off peak rate.
If you are into history this will do. Not what I think of when I think of national parks, more a national monument.
Bought tickets to the top in advance. We missed our time but they did let us in at a later time with no hassle.
I watched the movie and took the ride to the top you do have to pay for these things. They have some really good displays for free to look about the history of the area.
I was skeptical it seems like a tourist trap, but actually its an amazing architectural achievement only to be appreciated in person!
Great place to make memories! It's best if you call ahead and book your time slot, they sell out fast! They also acknowledge Veteran's as well.
Ethan was my tour guide for going on top of the arch. He was very informative and knowledgeable of history behind the arch. Also very friendly.
So much taller than I thought it would be. The movie on its design and build was very interesting. The ride to the top was quick and the windows were small - we went on a windy day and you could feel it move but it wasn't bad.
Want to be blown away with the combination of architecteral sublimeness, precision engineering, and the cool skyline view of a city from shore of a river? If yes, this is the place to visit that can be concluded by seeing the two states Illinois and Missouri from bird's eye from 730 feet high which is the pinnacle of the Amazing Arch!?
