The Grotto West Coast Grill reviews
17It's a nice place for a casual lunch. The food is good, fresh and light; though I am partial to their salads and those blue cheese chips!
I've tried the burger and steak tacos and both are pretty good. Worth the price and a step up in quality compared to standard fast food.
Very fresh and made to order. The bowls are excellent, and the burgers are ok. Try the blue cheese chips.
A few good gluten free options. Ordered the ceaser salad with blackened chicken and thought it was really good! Staff was friendly, overall a good time
Everything I’ve tried is always delicious. I try something different every time. They have a variety of choices from hamburgers to pasta to salads and more. If you have a group of people everyone can find something they like on their menu.
The Baja and teriyaki bowls never fail. Delicious as always. Offers great alternatives to fries, such as sweet potato fries, broccoli, etc. Give them a try.
Food is good. They have you pay beforehand and ask for tips, but all they do is bring your food. No one checks with you after that.
Great menu options! Portabella Sandwich is the best. Love the fries. Wish I had the recipe for the house made garlic aioli. Highly recommend
Whether dining in or take out the food is hot and soooo good. Many vegetarian options. Love the Baha bowl with fried tofu instead of chicken. Impossible burger with Avocado is great. So sad they took away the pizzas though. Get the spicy tofu tacos.
I sat in waiting area, right in front of kitchen, because it's my very first visit. I ordered a Cobb Salad to go. I watched all the orders being made and delivered. Patrons coming and going. Watched the wait help very closely, since I have been in the food service industry for a very long time. I saw 3 salads in To-Go containers on the counter, I wasn't sure if the single salad was mine. But after the person that ordered a to-go hot meal got his order before me, I had to stand up and ask for my salad, since it was 1: 25 and I payed at 1pm. I got a remark from one of the persons there, she said we are kinda busy. Well I have been watching, observing and waiting for 25 minutes. I know it was somewhat busy. But not 25 minutes for a salad. And they never even had a thought to apologize or offer me a cup for a drink
This is the best place! I am so impressed with the food! The pita bread is the best I've ever had. The Baja bowl was delicious and the portions are big enough for take home.
I used to love this place until I had two bad experiences. One the manager made an amazingly ill advised decision to fill a catering order during a busy lunch shift. Literally had a restaurant full of people waiting for their lunch. Business people. People who had a limited amount of time for lunch.
The reason I quit going there is the last time I ordered the blue cheese and balsamic chips they tasted really really really old. I get restaurants have to keep food costs low but you don't do that by serving food that belongs in the trash.
My favorite thing here was the spicey chicken sandwich. I decided I could make the exact same thing at home.
As for the decor - the minimalist chic thing is boring and unattractive. It lacks warmth.
Eating out can be so heavy and simply leave us feeling like we should have spent our money on a piece of gym equipment rather than processed deep fried “sleeping pills”.
Thennnnnn, we came to The Big G!
Ginger and I love the Grotto. Our fav is the avocado chicken sammich with sweet potato fries. We are never so satisfied as when our tastebuds and appetites are satiated by the hot, thin, crispy fries with the flavor of heaven throughout, to the juiciest and most delectable chicken with smashed avocado and that muy caliente chipotle' crema, bacon and swiss.
Keep your Mickey D’s #4 sized for a family, and give us the joy of healthy eating, scrumptious shareables, and a happy tummy full of love and acceptance through food fit for a royal family.
And oh, did I mention - the ladies who served us were 100% worth tipping with any gold coins or lucky charms you take with you - they are the absolute BEST reason to Go To The Grotto!
It is a self order semi self serve restaurant. The tables were dirty as well as the floors (it was not busy when we went). The food is pricey for being mediocre. If you want a quick meal that is a slight step up from fast food, this is the place.
I got the Santa Fe salad and subbed out the meat for spicy tofu and it was so good! Fries were some of the best I had.
The grotto is amazing! The food is always fresh, and the staff is very friendly!
I'd eat here, if you were looking for healthy and fresh options!
Something different than the usual Midwest sludge haha
Mmmmmmm! I've haven't felt this good after a meal for a while. I had the chicken avocado sandwich and it was amazing!
