The Happy Greek, Independence MO

This was the best gyro spot I have ever been too. I was skeptical with prices but it was all worth it. Fries were fresh and the gyro was so tasty. The topping were all fresh like they were just picked yesterday and the sauce was the perfect blend of spices. I definitely will be going back!

Had been a while since I visited, but it was the perfect spot for lunch today. Hit the spot!

Today was my first time at Happy Greek and I was not disappointed!

Denise the owner is awesome! It was a cold rainy day and I wanted a soup to go along with my gyro panini. She had just almost sold out and didn’t have enough for a full bowl… so she gave me about 3/4 of a bowl without a charge!

Great friendly service— go see them soon!

Wow, wow, wow. I'm so sad I didn't come here sooner. This is now one of my top favorite places in KC! I had a gyro and it took me back to the ones I had in Santorini, Greece on our honeymoon.
We will be visiting more and everyone else should too!

WOW! The Happy Greek is our new favorite place to get our Gyros and baklava! It was our first time visiting and the staff were super welcoming and the food was absolutely fantastic! It was hot and fresh! I love that they have a few options for kids. We will definitely be visiting again!

Delicious lamb gyro. Delicious lobster bisque. It is always a great meal here. The owner is very consistent and the food stays delicious. She's a great chef!

Great little shop! The gyros were delicious and reasonably priced. I also ordered the fried mushrooms, which were mostly good but some of them were cold towards the center.

Stopped in right after they opened on a Saturday. The place was clean and neat and the crew was friendly and helpful. My gyro was loaded with delicious meat and fresh veggies, and my wife said the falafel was top-notch. Waffle fries were great too. I'd definitely go back.

The owner and staff are so awesome. Love the platters, the hummus, especially the salads. You are always treated with a smile.

I stopped there Friday afternoon almost didn't because it didn't look open. I'm glad I stopped because it was open. I got a Gyro and I have to say it was probably the best I have had in a long time.

Absolutely delicious; cheap high quality diner. This place is a golden nugget. I'd have to say I love the "Super" gyro with a side of fried mushrooms. If you're a local or just visiting town it's worth trying!

Heard about this venue through friends and went there to try the food. Loved it, had the vege panini and the large Greek salad. Foods tasty and generous the service welcoming. Great experience of family owned intimate feel, right here in Independence MO. You earned my dollars...

The atmosphere is weird. There are no menus posted anywhere. The lady at the front didn't greet us. Finally found a couple of paper menus by the register. We ordered original gyros. They were good and came out hot. The tzatziki sauce was a bit heavy on the dill and would've liked more cucumber. Other than that it was good. It seems as if more people order take out than dine in. I'd recommend it if you like Greek food. Now that we know where the menus are it will be easier to order food there in the future.

Everything is good at this place. I’ve been coming here for years and will continue. The Greek salad is my favorite with the Gyro meat

I had the gyro platter with no pitas. It was delicious! Wish they wouldn't tempt me with that yummy looking chocolate cake at the register.

I didn't know what to expect when we walked in but it was fantastic. Good food and good value.
