The Hawthorne Inn, Labadie MO

My favorite place to eat! Took my ex-wife and my oldest son on his birthday and it is awesome everytime. My girl got the Hawthorne strip, I got pecan encrusted trout, and my son mushroom cheese steak, spinach artichoke dip for appetizer then dessert for the birthday boy. I love this place you have to come here, it is my favorite.the stuffed chicken omg it is so good, but my pretty ex- wife got me out of my comfort zone and best fish I ever had. The drive there is the best part of going there. Then we go get a bottle of honey liqueur then to the town market and we always have a blast.

Our waitress was very friendly and nice. The place itself was crowded and no one on the staff was wearing a mask so we were a bit uncomfortable with that. The food quality was poor. We left feeling sick to our stomachs. I was especially disappointed because I drove 30 minutes from our bed and breakfast anticipating a delicious meal from the pictures and reviews. The staff is awesome. I think they need a new chef.

First time visiting after hearing amazing reviews from friends and it certainly did not disappoint. Neat area and buildings. Wait was super long, but well worth it. I was going to attempt a pasta, but a friend convinced me I needed to try the Balsamic Glaze… ended up with the Tenderloin Allison and I don’t know how I’ll be able to order anything else next time. Steak was cooked to perfection, dinner salad was delicious and my side was white pasta was really great as well. Definitely worth the drive to get out there!

Having never been to the Hawthorne Inn before, I had no idea what to expect. When we arrived the most noticeable feature was the crowd because it was jam packed.
Even though it was, it made no difference to the staff. The food was incredible and everything was delivered in a timely manner.

Anyone who says anything negative about this gem of a restaurant is simply a born complainer. The food is TOP SHELF.the service is Excellent. End of story.

A good friend came and picked us up telling us it was his favorite restaurant. It was a beautiful drive to Labadie. We got there early so we didn't have a way but the place filled up right behind us. The food was just delicious. The atmosphere very pleasant. I highly recommend it.

Great service. Food was well prepared. Had the BLT Salad which was really good. Small portion was just right with a side of Potato Skins.

What a hidden treasure! The town is charming and the Hawthorne was AMAZING! Best meal in a long time.you'll likely have to wait but DO IT! Strip steak was cooked Perfectly.get the house salad too. The service was excellent as well.we will be back.

The food was great and our server was very nice. The busser was an asset as well. We had an opportunity to meet the owner, which was a long overdue activity Looking forward to returning soon.

We went there to celebrate our 24th anniversary.
My steak was wonderful.my husband s steak was a little tough.
Everything else was good.the even gave us a frosted brownie for desert!

Portions are huge, but very tasty. Hawthorne salad (or at least a side salad) is pretty much a must-have, as is the coconut cream pie!

The Ribeye is worth the price and more. I'm not a huge salad fan but their house salad is awesome. The server was very professional and funny. Definitely recommend

I picked up a couple in my cab that needed a ride home as their car had broke down.
Unfortunately I have yet to enjoy the food and atmosphere.
The couple I picked up highly recommended I bring my wife and enjoy their favorite spot.

The best food around. You certainly get value for your money. Went two days in a row with 8 others and everyone loved everything they ordered!

The Hawthorne Inn came highly recommended, and it did not disappoint. Wonderful easy-going atmosphere, great service & the food was amazing. Large portions of impeccably prepared food at a reasonable price. We'll be going again.

Very disappointed. The service was very poor, on top of that the food portions were very minimal. We usually have lunch here alot but I must say after today this establishment will not be on my list of being excited to go to anymore. Went from 5* to 1*. Hope the owners get control of this problem fast before they lose a lot more customers like my wife and I.

Beautiful drive to Labidie. Restaurant is located in center of town. Ask the bartenders for the history of the Inn. Great story and supported by a mural on the wall. Great bar selection. Our bartender Cassidy was super friendly and provided excellent service. Bruschetta was perfect.toasted buttery crostinis and toppings. House Italian salad had lots of flavor and was the perfect size. Strip steak was cooked perfectly and the garlic butter topping was wonderful. Dessert also did not dissapoint.the creme pie is made in house and was wonderful. The cheesecake is apparently made in town by a local and was fabulous and fresh. Portions were just right. A little pricy, but will worth it. Menu had lots of options from salads, steaks, pasta, fish, sandwiches. Perfect date night location. The restaurant is quaint and casual. Recommend reservations if going on the weekend. We will go back for sure.

Great restaurant. Nice layout, well staffed, great customer service, really good prices & menu selection.
Food: Delicious. Went there with a co-worker for lunch. I try to have a light lunch so I had Caesar Salad & 10" deluxe pizza. I believe he had garlic bread & a Grouper sandwich. Good portions, enough for to-go boxes. Glasses were never half empty before being refilled. Will def return there, excellent restaurant!

The food honestly is really good. And your wait staff is phenomenal. But theres was a huge chunk of hair in one of our salads, not like a piece of hair, multiple pieces of hair all clumped together.and all we were offered was a brownie to make up for it? No discount, just oh hey here's a brownie.

We dined on the patio on a beautiful summer afternoon. We all enjoyed our lunch. Each couple split bread pudding for dessert. It was yummy.
