Food is excellent. Such a variety of specialized dishes. The service is great too. Every time we are in Springfield, we eat here. Highly recommend.

The sea bass is delicious, but I've never had anything from there that wasn't delicious. The tiramisu cake is amazing!

Food here is pretty good, we did enjoy what we had, but was really disappointed when we asked for crepes, my husband and i went up 3 times and was told by server he already had a long line of people waiting, by that point we gave up, but really would have been nice to finish off our meal with warm crepes.maybe next time. Rest of staff were really nice and attentive, loved that they made us feel so welcome.

So I absolutely loathe buffets. They are gross as heck. The Hill though? It makes me get over that because it is so delicious. Also, as a vegetarian, their selection of meat free dishes is insane. Normally I get one or two things but here I can fill two plates easily. Not that I have ever filled two plates of delicious Italian food and then whined for 45 minutes about how full I am.

It was my first time to this place and it was nice but the temperature of the food was cold even though they had it on warmers. The chicken tasted like it wasn't even cooked correctly and the real meatballs tasted like mushed up cat food.

I had a wonderful conversation with the owner. The owner also prepares the food. My pictures do not do this place justice. Everything is fresh, from scratch Italian food. And it's a buffet! This was a nice find while visiting Springfield MO. My favorite was the chicken and mushroom sauce over pasta. Second favorite was the Korean style chicken parmesan. The chicken is fried slightly differently than most restaurants and it really peaked the flavors. I don't usually do buffets, but I was hungry for Italian and The Hill hit a homerun. The staff was kind and polite. The food was fresh and flavorful. The restaurant was clean. We were seated immediately. Our server was very polite, helpful and knowledgeable about the menu. You may find some decor outdated, but this place focuses on it's customers and it's fresh menu. Stop in, you'll be glad you did.

The buffet is loaded with tons of delicious pastas, sauces, appetizers and meats! And you can get a fresh made crepe for dessert! Definitely recommend very reasonably priced as well! Yum

Not only is the food AMAZING! The staff is always friendly and courteous! We drive from Joplin (70 miles away) just to eat here! Absolute favorite place to eat, PERIOD!

The Hill had become my go to place to enjoy a meal while in Springfield and I am willing to give them another try in hopes this last visit was just an off day. My son is now living in Springfield for college and I was lucky he wasn't busy that day and I was able to take him to lunch. He mentioned Olive Garden and I asked if he had tried The Hill yet; he had not even heard of it. I convinced him to give it a try simply by mentioning it was a buffet. The food just wasn't impressive that day. The marinara was extremely sweet, the chicken parm was very dry, and the fettuccine Alfredo was watery. I will say the breadsticka were fresh, soft, warm, and tasted great. I only had a small portion of the fettuccine and a small portion of chicken parm on spaghetti noodles, had no desire to go back for seconds. My son had two plates of food, which is unlike my son. I did tell him he should give them another chance and, as I said, I will too, but; if it's bad again I will be done. Out server was amazing, disagreed with me regarding my son's mustache, but; did tell me I didn't look old enough to be my son's mom. She received a nice tip!

The food is delicious just a little pricey. I realize it is a buffet but I just do not normally eat a lot and I can eat better food for less. But for someone that loves Italian and does not think $15 is not too much for a lunch buffet then this place is great. The food really is good.

Fantastic selection and delicious food that is way better than you would expect at a buffet. The staff is very friendly and accommodating.

Pretty good italian food and not expensive. I think on a week day its $11.99 a person for all you can eat. They even have pizzas! Give it a try.

Its a buffet so it's good. The food itself is alright. The two things that actually impressed me were the crepes and the tiramisu. Everything else was alright. Pasta everywhere, the chicken parmesan was good.

I've never had worse acid problems after eating here and everyone else in my party has felt sick all of the day after.

If you're looking for a lot of hot food and some good deserts I'd definitely recommend, but remember that happiness comes with a price.

Absolutely love this place. My husband and I go everytime we are in springfield. You can order of menu or do the all you can eat bar. Lot of selections on the bar recommend it more for your money lol!

If I could rate this a negative 10 I would the food was barely warm and alot of it was cold. They food was tasteless, bland and just disgusting. For 14.99 a person you would think the food would at the very least be worth the bloody price. The food was clearly far past the safety window. The waitress and hostess didnt even have anything to say clearly they didnt even think it was worth anything. My entire party walked out that door.

Tried it out for a second time- the food is bland and the pasta sauce is as thin as water. Somehow all the food lacks flavor- the sauce, the desserts, everything- I’m not sure how they manage it. The cake and cannoli which are supposed to be sweet just taste like nothing and have the texture of toothpaste- we gave this place a second chance after people kept raving about it, but don’t waste your money on bland and watery food. A very disappointing experience and a waste of money and time.

This place is great. Beautiful inside. Staff is super nice and food is great. Definitely worth a stop.
