I've had a really great experience so far, the staff are all very helpful and easy to communicate with, and definitely on top of everything. It was a very easy process to get in the system and signing a lease, all very quick. There wasn't much pressure to sign anything, and when I went to see the new apartments they had Canes:)

This is the most sorry excuse for an apartment complex I have ever seen. They have made my roommate and I (along with all other tenants) move from the unit that we pay for and love, to an “newly renovated” units with less space that we did not want nor agree to. There are no ceiling fans (which we used to have), no garbage disposal (which we did have), not storage space (which we did have), no kitchen table (which we did have), no living room TV (which we did have). There is only 1 outlet in the kitchen so no more than 1 appliance can be used at at time. There is also only one small piece of counter space (aside from the new island that has no outlets) that can be used. The sink is also half the size that what we did have.
We moved from a 2 bed 1 bath to a 4 bed 4 bath. We are still paying the same rent price but don’t have access to all of the space in our new apartment (the other 2 bedrooms and bathroom). We also will have to pay to cover the extra amount of electricity that it will take to heat this much larger space.
Even being moved into a 4 bed 4 bath unit, we still cannot fit all of our belongings. I have no idea how a group of 4 people could comfortably live here.
We have been more than vocal about our concerns and disappointments and nothing has been done.
I miss Campusview: (

Management is super friendly and easy to work with! Signing my lease was also super easy and convenient since it was all online. Cannot wait to move in next fall.

I went to the remodeling party and they were very welcoming and helpful with all of our questions. Can’t wait to move in!

In October 2022 I was moved into a roach-infested apartment filled with garbage left by previous tenants. Management tells me that I am not allowed to move the previous tenants' garbage. Management hits you with surprise fees that you have to jump through hoops with corporate to avoid. No matter how low the rent is here, it's not worth it. There are similarly priced apartments in Columbia that are far better.

(Sorry for adding some more 1-star, but my review exceeds the word limit)
2. And then it comes to the second problem we met. The management has contacted with a moving company to help us move out, and we signed up a date (October 5th). They have gave us many moving out notifications in advance and we are clearly aware that we should box up our things and move out on that day. We have packed 5 boxes of things and placed them in our bedroom and remain few other items (and garbages). The mover came to my door at 9 am and I told him I would be ready to go after 1 pm, because I have classes in the morning and won’t be back until 1: 45. I don’t know if they came to my apartment at 1 since my gf was napping then and heard nothing. The result is that the moving team left before 2: 30 and managers came to us to notify and requested again that we have to move out by the end of the day when I was packaging our last few things in the living room. About 15 minutes later, when I went to the leasing office to pick up new keys, the manager told me that the moving team had gone and I had to move things on my own. The problem is that what we signed up in advance is only a date, not a exact time period, and they didn’t told us what time to move, morning or afternoon, and the manager told us in a scolding tone that we were supposed to move in the morning when she came to our apartment.

3. In my understanding, based on all the information they gave us, the moving team would be able to help us on the day of October 5th, during office hours. However, the manager rudely assumed and told me that we won’t finish packing our things at 5 pm even I had already packed our belongings and ready to go then, because she only saw a messy living room and kitchen (basically a few garbages) and came to a conclusion that “you had not packed up anything then! ” And what she indifferently told me again and again is that “I have nothing to help with you and you have to move your things yourself”. She also told me that we were the only one not ready to left so the moving team just leave, trying to put the blame on ourselves. However, we saw people in another unit were also moving items and boxes out of their apartment afterwards. Based on my poor judgment, few words to describe this manager (don’t know her name) : Rude, Self-righteous, Irresponsible and Dishonest.

I don’t know the details of the contract between the management and the moving company, but I think there could only be two possibilities, hourly work pay and piecework pay: 1.they set up a certain time period and when it exceeded the period, the movers left, but they didn’t notify us such a time period; 2.they contracted that the movers help all residents in building 1 to carry things and move to their new apartment, but they leave us (and not only us) moving things on our own. All I know about the contract is what the manager told me in the office that the contract is already over at that time and it’s impossible to get them back. I believe it is a miscommunication problem, but apparently, I'm the only one who has to pay for it.

4. Since my gf is ill and weak, and we don’t have a vehicle, I have to carry most of our heavy things and walk over 300 ft and climb 3 floors to the new apartment over and over again, from 3pm to 8pm. I also fell over to badly hurt my knees because I was so exhausted to walk steadily! I am glad that one of my friendly neighbors help me carry a box when I was tired out and another nice neighbor offered me bandages after I fell over. And these are the only two helps that I received on this moving-out day. It is a huge waste of time and energy, but I am still so angry that I spent an hour writing these many words when I finished all the moving works.

1. The front desk staffs are always nice and helpful, but this one star review is for the new management.

We are requested to move out to another unit after we moved in our first one only 1.5 months because they need to empty buildings one by one to update the apartments. This is annoying but we could understand even if my gf and I don’t need 4 bathrooms in one apartment at all (they will update 4b2b units to 4b4b and put us to an updated one before our lease ends next year, to be fair, they will keep the monthly rent same). The first problem is that when they had this renovation plan, they could simply have placed us into the second unit initially, to keep building 1 empty (where our first unit locates), instead of letting us move into the first one and then move out 6 weeks later to another unit which was also empty from the beginning. Such a silly and annoying plan! Boxing up our belongings is not fun!

5. If there is one thing that is more irritating, that is I have to do it again, pack up all our belongings and move to a third unit in the next few months, and we don’t look forward to the updated features at all because (once again) my gf and I do not need 4 bathrooms.

Again, all the front desk staffs are very friendly, and the maintenance staff is also responsive, but this new management team has to think over again their existing problems to start their new brand. Though I have heard that the previous management here was very poor, but apparently, all management teams care about is their profit, enhancements to the resident experience are also designed to generate more revenue, so they will always have problems that cannot be taken into account.

Don’t have too much expectations, and wish all my neighbors have a smooth moving-out experience in the future, if you can receive a much more clear and detailed instruction from the manager, more than just date options and free boxes.

One last thing, I have also sent a complaint email with the same content to the Tailwind Group, the new purchaser of this residential community. So, no need to respond and advise me to contact the Wylder team via email or walk-in, thanks.

Had a bit of an issue with the apartment but my understanding is that they were bought out so I think improvements are on the way.

Hayden Ballard is the leasing manager is rude, unprofessional, and disrespectful. If you need help with anything I recommend not speaking to him.

The Wylder is my first apartment, and I wouldn't have it any other way. It's close to downtown and Grindstone, and everything is a 5-10 minute drive. My favorite thing about the complex is all the trees and birds. Jade has been wonderful with answering questions, and it's always great getting to see her at clubhouse events.
