I’ve been to many museums and I always recommend this one. You could be here for hours, there’s something for everyone. I do think they could use a better cafeteria, with allergen free options. When you’re in the cafe, or the historial exhibits, or the pop art, you feel in a completely different area than the next.

This is one of my favorite art museums for so many reasons! One being that they layout of the gallery’s really breaks up the crowds and you can spend more time with your favorite pieces. The building is magnificent and it’s just such a beautiful place! But let’s talk about that Mini Golf experience! As a lover of mini golf and art this was a dream come true! It was so fun to play the course that was made with such detail and bringing select paintings to life! It was amazing and I would love to see it expand to 18 holes.

I have no hesitation to claim this to be the best Museum in the World. A collection that dwarfs even European or most American ones, in content and especially in the sublime, elegant and spacious manner their exhibits are displayed. An absolute must for any traveller, tourist and above all Art lovers. A most unexpected revelation and one of the best Art kept secrets in a City that deserves a visit for its beauty, grand houses, green areas and above all its relevance in American history plus in Jazz and Baseball.

An amazing museum showcasing various art from present to past from around the world. Many of the great periods are represented. The Roman style courtyard serves as a great atmosphere for their cafe.

A relaxing and peaceful experience! Free entry but it does cost to use their parking structure. Definitely worth every penny.

In from out of town. Booked Beautiful Disruption yesterday. Quite an off-putting experience. Not really much depth to it. Also, staff were talking loudly throughout which took us out of it. Museum as a whole is incredible, however. Been before.

Each time I visit it's always been a fantastic experience. The collections of art and history are so vast that when I return I always discover something new. Please donate when visiting this place or others like it- donations keep it alive and well maintained.

Love going there! My wife enjoys seeing the Egyptian and Roman antiquities. I only wish we had more of it! Other than that absolutely phenomenal museum!

I always love this place. It's $14 to park and free to get in. Wear comfortable shoes because it is a BIG place with a lot of walking.

The Nelson has wonderful staff. I also just went to the Art Deco exhibit. I highly recommend it.

The entire place was so wonderful, the halls felt like they went on forever. I didn't get to see everything the first time I went and I want to go back so bad! It was a truly awesome experience. (The cafe looked nice but was a little $$)

The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art in Kansas City is an absolute treasure trove of artistic wonder that never fails to captivate and inspire. From the moment you set foot on its beautifully landscaped grounds, you know you're in for a cultural treat.

The museum's vast and diverse collection spans across centuries and continents, offering a fascinating journey through the world of art. One of the standout exhibits that left a lasting impression on me was the Mummy of Ka-i-nefer. Seeing this ancient artifact up close was a surreal experience, and it transported me back in time, roughly ten years ago when, if my memory serves me correct, at the Michael C. Carlos Museum (Emory University.

As a lover of Edgar Degas' art, we were overjoyed to discover a significant collection of his works at the museum. The delicate brushstrokes and the poignant portrayals of dancers and ballerinas were mesmerizing, and we found ourselves drawn into Degas' world of beauty and grace.

The museum's architecture is equally captivating, with its neoclassical design and modern additions blending seamlessly to create a harmonious space for art appreciation. The outdoor sculptures scattered throughout the grounds add a touch of elegance to the surroundings, making the museum a delight to explore both inside and out.

While the art alone is reason enough to visit, the Nelson-Atkins Museum offers more than just exhibits. The Rozzelle Court, though not the ultimate culinary experience, provides a pleasant respite for a quick bite. The serene ambiance and lovely surroundings create a peaceful atmosphere to relax and reflect on the art discoveries of the day.

The museum's commitment to community engagement and educational programs is commendable. From interactive exhibits for children to informative lectures and workshops for art enthusiasts, the Nelson-Atkins Museum ensures that art is accessible and enjoyed by all. Whether you're an art aficionado or simply curious about the artistic realm, a visit to this museum is an enriching and unforgettable experience that leaves you with a renewed sense of awe and inspiration.

Beautiful place and so peaceful. Not very handicap friendly. The walk ways were hard to walk with my walker but there’s lots of shade and open areas to mini golf, and relax. This is only the outside of the museum experience.

It’s a really pretty museum. The many pairings and various other works were not only beautiful, but the atmosphere of the rooms they were in build an immaculate vibe around the many works I saw. The various art pieces from several different cultures around the world really opened my eyes to the lifestyles and cultures these artists made. Genuinely amazing experience, wether you like exploring museums or are well versed in the fine arts

Such an incredible museum with so much to see. In other places, you would pay a hefty entrance fee to see the type of things you see here for free. No matter the period of history you like best, you can lose yourself for hours in these exhibits. Be sure to see the Asian exhibit and the reproduction of the Buddhist temple. Impressive!

A very rich and interesting art museum of many countries, both of Europe and Asia and Africa, of course, of AR, for museum lovers, very impressive. On the day we were there, it was free, paid parking

Midwestern version of the Met Museum, huge, very good collection of Impressionist paintings, among other things.
