The Old Stone Chapel reviews
7 Saw an amazing sax performance in this venue, just the right size, charming location, but I think the performänce setting would have felt more appealing in the round, meaning performer in the middle, seating surrounding it. In general the round tables were too large since the stage wasnt elevated, so it was difficult to see around people, it was mostly sound, but Tim Cunningham is also quite the entertsiner so it is mostly about sound, and it/he was awesome.
The sounds were explosive but also smooth as velvet. Chsirs were not secure feeling and uncomfortable, but even after this, the setting the sound, I quite enjoyed it. Hope the suggestions help.
Had our daughters wedding here and it turned out so beautiful. Shout out to Daphne.she did an AMAZING job
It was a nice gathering for celebrating my cousin's birthday with family and friends. I loved the chapel in the lower area, nice for a small wedding. Staff were great. Would recommend.
The venue was beautiful but on the day of the wedding, we (the wedding party) were kept waiting outside until someone showed up to open the doors for us (because they all wanted to go to church first). That should have been discussed when plans were being made. And the reception venue (across the street) did not have the main doors open at the proper time (leaving everyone out in the hot sun) until someone managed find a side door open and complained.
To top it off, there were guests still enjoying the reception when, an hour before the contracted end time, the staff started stripping the tables. All in all, I felt that this group had no respect or interest for this gathering.
I djd a wedding today at Old Stone Chappel. I was respected. One of the best venues I have played at. A family owned business.
The location venue was lovely. Would recommend. Food was not great. Edible but not great.
The chapel and reception rooms are beautiful. My experience was terrible. They booked back to back weddings in the chapel. I was originally told we had the chapel from 3p to 430pm, then 2 days before at the rehersal, I was told there was another wedding at 4pm. There were guests coming in for the next wedding while we were doing pictures. We were bumped from the reception I booked because they double booked it. The communication was awful. After calling for 3 weeks with no answer I went up to the place to make sure they were still in business! I was reassured everything would be perfect and I would get a call in a couple days. A month later, no calls. The phone numbers on the website have no answering or voicemail. Only after putting a new inquire for an event on their website did they call me within 30min. I am a reasonable, patient and understanding person. Staffing shortages, change of ownership, I get all of that. The day itself went well. If I had a do over, I would NOT have it there.
