The Quarry at Crystal Springs, Maryland Heights MO

Nice course but had worst experience I have ever had with a ranger. Received no warning about "playing slow" before being belligerently cussed out by a ranger for five minutes. Do not come here if you want to enjoy a round of golf.

Very nice course. However, there was an older gentleman that drove up to our group and tell us to “f***ing hurry up” after we were playing slow. He was understandably frustrated, and completely out of line. Had a separate older gentleman drive up right after and was much kinder than the first. The front desk was kind and helpful too. Personally I won’t play here again because I don’t want to chance being treated like that again

I've been coming to the Quarry for many years, and have always felt very welcome, so I'm confused by some of the reviews from years ago - but so be it - I'm giving my review from the past few years. I live in Los Angeles now, but I grew up in Florissant, and the Quarry is my favorite course in the local area when I come back to town every few months. I typically bring my youngest brother (Jimmy) out there, and he has severe Down syndrome, and they treat him like their best friend. Nash, Ed, Charlie, and everyone there are always awesome to us. Regarding the course itself, it's a bit of a mix of links and parklands-style golf, with some large waste areas and other challenges. There is quite a bit of water on the course which can challenge some players. The biggest challenge to the quality of the course is the numerous floods that have happened in their location. It sounds like they have some new pumping systems installed to prevent this going forward, but Mother Nature always seems to find a way to win! That being said, the course continues to re-sod and re-seed and invest in the course conditions as much as they can, and while there are a few scars here and there, it's a great value for the money! I come here frequently. Challenging but a blast to play and cool layout. Best from the gold or black tees. ALSO, it’s a part of the GimmeGolfClub collection of courses!

Played here the day before I flew back to Ireland 17.5.23, course was excellent, the staff was very helpful and the Price was reasonably good, had a great time.
Back next year to play again normally play on the 3 par course near the airport, which I enjoy as well. Thumbs-up and see yeah in 11 months

Played here for the first time this past weekend. This is a fun and very well maintained course. Will definitely be back.

If you are melanated, you are going to want to choose a different course. It’s truly unfortunate however they will force you to skip holes and treat you terribly. It’s not for people of color.

Very disappointed. The customer service was some of the wort I’ve ever experienced. I called ahead of time in the early evening to see if they had openings around 3: 30 (remind you, it’s just me) they had 4: 30 but the lady on the phone told me to come out they will get me out so I show up only to be told I can’t go out at all because it was too late by some gentleman who said he works in the prom shop and theres no way I’d finish in time to come in. Then i said that’s not cool to have me come out just to be told no? And said I’ll take my business elsewhere and he said “good, so why don’t you golf there? ” This is we Such a shame! I’ve heard nothing but good things about this course and was recommended by multiple golfing buddies. Can’t even review the golf course! I just know that they treat customers poorly.

Great golf venue, very beautiful and well designed course. Played in the winter, so I’m sure the course is even more beautiful in the Summer.
