The Schiller House, Hermann MO

The Schiller House Garden Cottage was perfect for the two of us (and our dog)! Not only was the space well-maintained, offering plenty of towels and bedding, the hostess was kind and responded to all of questions. Even when I thought I seriously injured myself, she offered her assistance. Thanks for a restful visit!

The Garden Cottage at Schiller House was the ideal spot for my fiance and me to stay while visiting Hermann. It is centrally located to shopping, restaurants, wineries, and entertainment. It felt like our own little private oasis with a nice backyard for our dog and a romantic fire pit for warming up in the crisp fall evenings. We were welcomed with chilled champagne in the fridge and coupons for cocktails at Evergreen. I highly recommend checking out The Fancy Pheasant across the street for unique provisions. Hannah has thought of every detail, but she is also quick to respond to any needs or questions. I would not hesitate to stay here again on my nest trip to Hermann.

We stayed at the Garden Cottage. It was centrally located in the downtown area. It was within a short walking distance to all restaurants and shops.

The Cottage House is so cute and

I would highly recommend staying at The Schiller House. Hannah was accommodating, responsive, and thoughtful. We stayed here for our wedding weekend and had a bottle of prosecco and a charcuterie board waiting for us upon our arrival! If anything came up throughout our time (needing more towels or coffee) Hannah was quick to reply and meet our needs.
Both the Main House and Garden Cottage were incredibly thoughtful with details (chargers by beds, very clean upon arrival, shower items provided, firewood for bonfires) which may our stay that much more enjoyable.
I would absolutely stay here again!

My wife and I had wonderful relaxing time. The garden house was in excellent condition and the location quiet and peaceful. We will recommend it to everyone we know, and plan to return ourselves soon. Thanks Hannah for all you do.

The cottage was very airy and quaint and we slept very well. The host was extremely responsive. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the garden cottage and would highly recommend to anyone considering staying here.

Loved our stay at The Schiller House! The design was modern, timeless, and cozy. The location was superb, right in the bustling area of downtown Hermann. The staff was so accommodating and helpful. We enjoyed the fire pits in the evening. Great place to celebrate any occasion. If I could give it 6 stars I would!)

Great house with lots of character and history! Perfect location in historic downtown. Cozy bedrooms, comfy beds, very clean! Super responsive hosts! I especially liked the shady yard space, which I didn’t see in most of the other guest homes in the area. We were there during a record heat wave so we really appreciated the nice air conditioner and being able to control the temp.

The Garden Cottage was absolutely lovely. The amenities were fantastic, the gardens and grounds were very welcoming and the people were very courteous and helpful. Absolutely recommend!

We had the bride and bridesmaids stay at the Schiller House for the Bachelorette Party and then the other party guests at their sister property - Vinchester Inn. This was a perfect set up! Everything was in walking distance and the Vinchester Inn had a complimentary private space for brunch one morning. The Schiller House was clean and communication was clear and concise. The owners checked in occasionally which was nice, but not overwhelming! We felt comfortable immediately walking through the door. The house had so much charm, it was exactly what we wanted. We had the best time in Hermann and the bride had a memorial weekend with the girls. I will be back and highly recommend you check it out too.

The Schiller House was by far the best stay! The details put into the Garden College are so cute and the location was perfect! Hannah is a gem as well. We will definitely be back!

We stayed in the cottage and it was clear how much thought went not only in the space and experience, but also the renovation of the building. Spacious for the two of us and close to everything we wanted to do as well. Can't wait to come again!

Wonderful, perfect girls trip stay! Definitely book the Schiller house for your next getaway. The location is perfect. We walked everywhere. The decor is gorgeous - a lovely mix of old and new. Our host brought over a chilled bottle of sparkling wine upon our arrival and made sure we had everything we needed. Definitely check out Evergreen and The Fancy Pheasant, their sister businesses! Can't wait to book another stay!
