The Strength Parlor reviews
13This place is absolutely amazing. Every time I'm in Missouri, visiting family, I come here for a workout. I love that it's a group setting, but it's personal at the same time. I feel like all of the trainers are extremely helpful in getting you to have the correct form. They are all very sweet but tough. I wish they had one in Cali.or maybe I need to just move to Missouri
I have just gotten back to my workout routine during the pandemic and taking the spin class virtually has been awesome. The instructor Nay is very dedicated and detailed.
Excellent gym with incredible service.
I went for a class to have an experienced coach correct my technique on a few lifts, but I was blown away by how courteous and inviting everyone was. Several of the regular members introduced themselves as soon as I arrived. The coaching I received quickly cleaned up some of the mistakes I was making.
Unfortunately, I live too far away to regularly attend, but if you live in the area and are interested in barbell training or just curious about training in general, I would not hesitate to give them my business.
A gym where you get results. Truly individualized coaching, not training - and there is a specific difference. A great team of coaches that work with you daily to hit your specific goals.
I’ve been at the Strength Parlor for a little over 6 months now and I’ve already surpassed my original strength goals! The coaches are knowledgeable and supportive. They do a fantastic job of teaching you the ‘why’ and not just the ‘how’ of strength training. This combined with their nutrition coaching and strong community will keep me a patron for years to come.
Such an amazing gym with some of the strongest and best lifters/members and coaches in St. Louis! TSP is truly one of a kind — the equipment is top-notch, the coaches are so knowledgeable and supportive, and the “gym family” is so welcoming and kind. You get a structured unique/individualized training program, and the coaches are very quick at responding to any questions or concerns. The group training sessions allow you to lift with other members, motivate each other in breaking PRs, and still get instant feedback on your form from the coaches. For me, it’s worth every penny and the 30min drive.
Do yourself a favor and get to The Strength Parlor. You will be challenged, loved on, and get the results you deserve! It is truly a family. Everyone is on their own journey but rooting for you everyday to reach your goals and then celebrate them with you.
It is a great place to work out
The staff is very friendly and nice. We are like a big happy family. Just love this place and look forward to going each week.
Very welcoming and a fantastic community. Coaches are easy to work with and learn from, as well as being super supportive and non-judgmental.
Yesterday I had a bone density scan.
The last bone density scan I had was in 2006,15 years ago!
At that time my lower back was in stage one of osteoporosis.
My wrist and my hip back in 2006 had normal ranges. But my lower back was definitely osteoporosis phase one.
They only scan your non- dominant side…
That would be my left wrist, my left hip, and lower back…
They said they scan these areas because these are the high fractured areas as we age.
My mother had a very bad osteoporosis in her later years and would literally fractured bones by coughing…
Anyway, yesterday they said that my wrist and my hip were STILL in the normal range!
NO DECLINE AFTER 15 years of aging!
They even said that my lower back IMPROVED slightly…
I do not know if my back is still in phase 1 (but now at a lower risk) or maybe even out of phase 1 as the official report won’t come out until next week.
But either way.to have aged 15 years and have NO DECLINE in my bone density in my wrist and my hip is amazing!
And even more amazing that my lower back, even if it is still in phase 1, has shown improvement!
Anyway I thought I would share this, because I have no doubt it is the strength training and lifting that has kept my bones from declining over a 15 year period!
And during those 15 years, I also had 7 major surgeries and recoveries.and still no decline in bone density!
Just thought you’d like to know
Thank you Strength Parlor for keeping me on track and helping me to lift safely all these past five years️
Outstanding coaching and expertise for strength training, considerate of age and capabilities. Therapeutic strength training. Excellent for all ages.
Everything about the Strength Parlor amazed me. From the coaching, the friendly people, and the amount of free weight equipment used for every sort of lifting you need for your goal. Our coach put in over time to help better my girlfriend and I’s form on the squat, overhead press, and deadlift. The community at the Strength Parlor was focused on who we are as people, what we want, and what we need to get there. This isn’t just another brand/gym. All bodies, and all ages are accepted, and I cannot thank everyone we met today for the support on our lifts. I can proudly say that the Strength Parlor has made a difference in my life in just one visit, and I will gladly come back for more coaching, to achieve my goals
