Thee Abbey Kitchen / Arcadia Academy reviews
13This place is so cool. The building has so much history. Under new ownership and the staff were awesome. Service is great and food is top notch. Food other restaurants buy [frozen] this place makes themselves; the bread, the fries, the chips, the ice cream, etc. Can't wait to come back!
Classic food at a classic price in a classic setting with classy service. My new must stop when I am out that way!
It’s the best kept secret of Arcadia Valley. Whether there for lunch, a quick ice cream, the Murder Mystery dinner {check it out! } or the MOST FABULOUS CINNAMON ROLL on the PLANET, you will have to make this a destination. Sweet service {Sunkia} and fabulous food. This is the pit stop that we make EVERY time when we head down home to Oates Missouri for some magic time. The cream cheese frosting is great, but the honey syrupy cinnamon roll is the complete BOMB! See Johnson Shut Ins or Elephant Rocks just around the bend while you’re this close! And there is also a historic Civi war thingy within three miles too. Fort Davidson! God’s Country {Oates, Missouri} is half an hour away too.
Come see us!
The food is great, staff is very friendly, enjoyed a tour. We stayed in the penthouse, beautiful place, rich in history. I will be back soon
If you like lots of character, then you'll love the abundant charm and personality of the Abby and its staff. Come and take the tour of the ground, attend a murder mystery, have a wedding at the chaple, stay at the B&B, enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinners at the kitchen and homemade icecream at Porters Emporium. ENJOY this charming Missouri Ozark destination any season.
My husband, myself and our good friend all drove about 7 hours to come stay here for the weekend for a friend's wedding.
The bride and party got ready with us there the morning of, the makeup and hair team even loved the suite.
We cannot say enough good things about not only the penthouse suite we got but the breakfast and the hospitality we experienced overall.
The property is BEAUTIFUL and such a joy to wander. The building which has the penthouse and other rooms to rent in it is so unique and absolutely on point.
We only wish we had had the time to come in and explore the insides of the rest of the buildings and get some of that ice cream!
Thanks for the welcome stay.
Awesome place to eat and see. Great food and owners. Service was excellent. Ice cream was delicious also. Must stop when your in the area.
Very unique and fascinating. I've never been anywhere quite like it. Our meals were delicious, and our accomodations were very nice. We were here for a wedding and reception, and it was great fun! The atmosphere is warm, welcoming and the historical elements made the experience that much more special.
They really let the place go over the last 3 years. Staff wasn't the greatest, or friendliest even if you tried to be. They also were out of every ice cream, waited in line for 15 mins for only 4 people ahead. Another staff member offered to help, but she turned it down. The only really thing that made that even worse was being told "we don't have enough for one scoop of that, we don't have enough for 2 scoops of that. " Put a sign up, stating you're out instead of making people wait in line. We use to love walking around the grounds, getting dinner, and a cinnamon for dinner. But, the grass was all grown up, bricks falling off everywhere, and very unfriendly staff
We stopped for an early lunch and were pleased with the food. The 1/2 pound burger was quite tasty and came with seasoned curly fries. The ultimate ham was really good and served on homemade bread. It came with thin, crunchy potato chips that had pepper on them too. Looks forward to coming again.
The food was okay my chips were burnt though and my sandwich wasn't what I thought it was supposed to be so cheesesteak and it ended up being roast beef
We always love going to Thee Abbey Kitchen. The atmosphere is very peaceful and excellent food.
Institution good, nothing to brag about. Definitely need revamped and some life add to the building and the food. Service was great
