United Gospel Rescue Mission, Poplar Bluff MO

Ok I'll admit I left a not so good posting on there website when they changed there store around (I do mean huge changes) and I am sorry for that. I know they tried to make it better but I guess they didn't know it was perfect the way it was. Now that's just from someone who is there daily.
Well they brought the books back and the clothes are overloaded on the racks and the shoes are stacked on top of each other again and all I can say is it's nice to have the mission back. Thank u! You've kinda become my home away from home.anyhow theres so much stuff here it's crazy. Nothing like goodwill. Women shirts any of them 2 bucks shoes are 3 and every third sat. Everything in the store is half off! They also have a FREE BOX they place outside almost every two hrs. The box is huge and only God knows what you will find inside. It's pretty fun to scope through. If u haven't been u need to stop in and check it out.

First time I'd ever been there. They had a lot of stuff in the thrift store. Really decent prices too. Most the things I looked at were in great condition.

Rescue mission has some pretty awesome stuff! There clothes are all different brands, styles and sizes. Not a lot of men's but what they do have for men is all name brands polo shirts and so on there all clean and look new cant beat 2 bucks a shirt

I’ve always donated clothing and some furniture to the thrift store, and I’ve always spent money in the store buying things I really didn’t need, because I thought the money went to a good cause. But from now on, all of the items I plan to donate will go to goodwill, atleast the workers at goodwill don’t look at you like you’re a serpent. Everything I had in my car today to donate to the mission thrift store, will be going to goodwill tomorrow. And I won’t be making anymore trips down there either.

Paster Kirk has always been there for me. I thank God for his blessings on me. I think no I know it is a great organization that helps. Thanks you for your help and being there for me. God bless you all.

This was a very clean and reasonable second hand store. Their staff was very nice and helpful

HORRIBLE! It's a hypocritcal "Christian" cult that houses sex offenders and wierdos. Also, Doc, one of the "volunteer night-men" there, claims to have been in the military. He wasn't! He IS a militant facist, however, and should be considered dumb and dangerous. Along with housing perpetuators of stolen valor, Wyatt and Skip are his fearfully dumb cohorts and are charged with the atrocious act of NOT feeding Jesus' sheep, but instead, SCARING Jesus' sheep away!

They help people in need with food, and clothing. They accept donations, and the thrift shop sells a wide variety of used items.
