I have lived here for nearly 3.5 years, although I was grateful for the opportunity they provided me, their their tiny home program is just a tourist attraction, they make it seem like it's a great place to stay but they abuse their residents. You have to "actively participate" or they will kick you out. You will have to "check in" with them weekly, even though you're working full-time or they will kick you out. They make promises to you that they will help you in anyway they can but when you ask them to actually help you, they will give you the run around and expect you to follow all their rules and guidance. If you're at the risk of being homeless and like to be treated like a child then I would get in the program but be warned you will be on your own with every problem you have and VCP Will NOT help you. I recommend this program be shut down

All local veterans need to check them out. It doesn't matter how you are. If you need something or if you can give of your time or money to help those vet's in need.

They were helpful and friendly. What I found unique and refreshing was how they tried to anticipate your needs and give you options. I highly recommend that veterans come to this location and register. Don't forget to bring a copy of your DD-214. This organization will also provide you with a box of food if you need it. They also have shelves filled with toiletries such as toothbrushes and toothpaste and many more things. Veterans Community offers many more services so give them a call or stop by.

I consider their tiny homes a PR joke. A lengthy intake and a LOT of personal information/assessments, only to be told weeks later that I was denied one because “my priorities of keeping my dogs (my only family) with me don’t align with their priorities” and the message and righteous delivery (by Darcy) was witnessed by my VA Social Worker who couldn’t believe what she was hearing. Not my interpretation. The one thing they helped with was paying an $82 phone bill, which, while I’m grateful for, could’ve paid for myself if I had been in a home and working with my dogs in a safe place.

My comment is regarding Kristin Griffin only, she is unprofessional and likes to play games. I would suggest that if you want to tour the community or interact with VCP in any way, you stay away from her as much as possible. First she has some dates available, then 2 minutes later she doesn't. Also she told me herself that she does not use her office phone.so my message went unanswered for almost 2 weeks. She also does not answer her cell phone which is listed as her contact in the emails they like to blast out. I think the management should take a real good look at who they have working for them and those peoples ethics, especially for a non-profit that functions primarily on donations. When you treat community members like garbage, the word gets around quickly.

This is an amazing group of people helping veterans every day and every night with compassion and support. Incredible organization that I support any chance I get.

I always take support nonprofits with a grain of salt! Is this program a total nonprofit or not for profit program? And where is funding stream coming from and is staff volunteer or receiving a pat check for their efforts? Just a thought!

Veterans housing veterans. Transitional housing for homeless veterans and other outreach services.

Thank you. So very much. You found me homeless and addicted. You gave me a different view of myself. In 3 days I’ll have 5 months of clean time. Tomorrow I move into my new apartment through VASH. VCP paid off my eviction debt from 3 years ago. I couldn’t get accepted at any of the places I applied to until that debt was cleared. It would have taken me a very long time to do it on my own. You brought me a phone when I lived on the street so you could reach me to help me. You contacted the VA and told them who I was and exactly where I would be for them to send a social worker to help me. You brought me warm clothing, a tent, food. Over and over you brought me food. You helped coordinate with the VA to get me into inpatient rehab at the VA hospital. You saved my life. LeAnn. Veteran Joe. Everyone at VCP, from my little girl, my parents and me. Thank you.

Love the staff at VCP outreach center. Always friendly and willing to help. I am a veteran from the US Army and love meeting new vets in my area.

This organization is incredible. Its truly amazing how many veterans lives are impacted positively due to VCP'S outreach into the community. Keep reaching for the stars, super impressed.
