Vīb Best Western Springfield

Front Desk was not helpful in giving me a receipt for my stay. Room was not clean, shower is too small. Room rate is good but there is a reason it is cheaper.

The room was very cramped with about a foot of walking space between the bed and desk, the room was clean, the clerk at the desk was super friendly. I like that there's a restaurant in the lobby, although for the price when they said there was breakfast form 6 to 10 we assumed it was free. Overall it was a good stay.

This trendy hotel is supposed to be European style, at least that's what they said. I guess I prefer American style hotels. The rooms are very small with no comfortable seating, just a hard plastic chair, and very little space to move around. The bed was fine and everything was clean. The shower is a terrible design. Way too small for the rain shower head. You can't step out from under it to lather your hair without bumping the wall or hitting the shower curtain. The hand wand has no water pressure, so it just trickles out. The restaurant and bar were closed on Halloween, so we didn't try anything there, but there is a great sushi place nearby. There is no breakfast included, but the restaurant was open. The coffee they offer is only Starbucks Pike Place, which I think is terrible tasting, so we got an Americano at the restaurant and it wasn't very good either. There is a Keurig in the room, so you can bring your own pods if you want good coffee. There is a small fridge, but not a microwave. The price here was about the same as many other places in the area, but most others have nicer accommodations and free breakfast included. I will definitely not choose this place again.

Nice place to stay. Didn't eat at the Wheel House so can't speak to that. Service from check in to check out was outstanding.

This place is a hidden gem! Great food and drinks, rooms tidy and up to date and good location

Room was clean, check in staff friendly. I love my wife but don't particularly want to see her on the toilet from the bedroom, Or her see me. There is no comfortable chair in the room at all to sit in. Absolutely no lamp in the room. Only overhead lighting you have to get out of bed to turn off and on. Forget about reading in bed or in a chair. Watch you head getting in and out of bed, the TV is right above to hit your head on. As far as hanging clothes, no worries they give you 2 hooks on the bedroom wall. Heaven forbid you're in town for a wedding and have dress clothes you need to hang. Want to valuables in the safe, go ahead, it's bolted to the bottom shelf of the suitcase bench and could be carried right out the door. Hope you like your neighbors because you can carry on a conversation through the wall. Whoever designed and built this place has their head up where Sunshine doesn't shine. STAY AWAY FROM VIB BEST WESTERN ON SUNSHINE.

Let me explain the stars here. Friendly staff. The room was quite small but decent. The location was good. Now because of the location it was noisy as hell. Inside noise and outside noise a plenty. Seems the engineers of this project never heard of soundproofing material and design. The main issue as stated by others is the cockroaches. In the ice bucket this morning and as we were leaving I noticed one in the vending area on the third floor. No pics as they are quick to hide. Breakfast, lol what breakfast. For $240 a night one expects more than a frozen biscuit. Yup a frozen biscuit you heat up yourself. LMFAO what a joke. We've been a loyal patron of BW for many years, I know within reason BW can't control everything that happens in every franchise but this is ridiculous. Wouldn't recommend staying here as I will sleep in the car if this is my only choice for a place to stay.

Best western lists breakfast as an amenity, and all it is is the cheap frozen sandwiches that you can microwave.

I love coming here to take my family on vacation. My family and I decided that we should stay another night. I went downstairs and they automatically say no we are fully packed. Mmmmh you just lost my business. I have a 7 month old baby with us as well. Seriously. Not happy at all. The front desk lady recommended different hotels to me as well the rooms are small and they don’t serve free breakfast.

Great place and a good price. The beds are very comfy. The rooms are tiny. Friendly staff. Bar prices are good. The food looked good. Free breakfast frozen jimmy Dean packages. Bananas, fruit cups, and ganola bars. There is a cool bar around the corner with the best wings and a goodhappy hour.

Stayed in this hotel for 2 weeks. Staff was always amazing and the room was really clean and comfortable. AC blew really cold air. We would definitely stay here again.

Rooms a little small but very well done and clean. Good beds and shower. Breakfast basic but better than no breakfast. Beautiful facilities and great location.

Perfect for a quick overnight, the desserts in case were either petrified or fake, not good, Balcony was nice.

The staff there was very sweet. I didn’t get the front desk ladies name, but she was really great to get checked in with and was informative as well.

Starting off, I know this is not in the control of anyone there, but if you are looking for a very quiet place to stay I wouldn’t have this as a first choice. It wasn’t extremely loud, but you hear quite a bit from the surrounding rooms/hallway and the street that’s right outside.

My boyfriend and I were staying here tonight, as I have a flight out of Springfield in the morning. When we first got into the room, we noticed a granola bar wrapper and 2 clothing items left from previous guests. Things happen, so we just decided to overlook that. Around 1am, my boyfriend got up to use the bathroom. When he went in, he found an adult cockroach crawling around. We inspected the room more after that, and found contacts, miscellaneous food bits and crumbs, and LOTS of dust around. I can’t expect the cleaning staff to get every nook and cranny between bookings, but to be able to expect items be taken out from drawers, wrappers cleaned up, and no cockroaches shouldn’t be too much.

The gentleman working at the desk when we went there after finding the cockroach was also helpful. He offered us another room, but we declined. He was very apologetic, and informed us of the processing time it generally takes to get a refund.

Overall, the staff really was some of the best hotel staff I’ve had the pleasure of talking with. The cleanliness was lacking to say the least. As someone that works in rental housing, I’ve seen firsthand what it takes to attract cockroaches AND let them get to the size that the one in our room was. Where there’s one, there’s always more. I would recommend looking into other hotels in the area before getting a room here.

Maintenance guy screaming homophobic obscenities in the hallways/elevators in the middle of the day, making housekeepers cry, ruining my call by being loud enough for the mic to pick up THROUGH doors.
Pretty awful, I'd take stars off of other people's reviews if I could. I'd sleep under a bridge before I'd turn over even one more red cent to this place.

I've stayed here for a month due to the close proximity to my work. Overall 4.5/5.
Usually when I have an issue the staff are very attentive.
Good news is they offer free breakfast sandwiches now when they use to charge so kudos there as well.
