Victory Shelter for Men, Springfield MO

Me I had High Hopes for this place as i talk to a Guy way before i came there! It's a good place for homeless men to go. To a point. Now When I was on The Free Side had a Good Top Rated Room and they were please. As we kept it clean, But as soon as I went to the paid side it all changed, Now Bed bugs biteing you in less than 5 minutes of being in the room, it gives you the creeps and you can imaged have to tried to sleep in this conditions The one"s on the paid side, get the rough side of the deal, As some don't get
no sleep.and they are so tired and if they have to work a job in the morning time it is rough, on those who have to do this, this why so many do not want to come there, You will hear bad experiences about the place everywhere, you go, over town and That's sad! And they say you can't take food back to rooms, for which i can understand this, as some will abuse this, and it will coz problems, Honest people do not exist. I brought food in my bag to take to work the next morning, As Cause all stores will be closed and they took it from me, so i had no food to eat, as you will not getting any food it's all for the free side, It should be the other way around, People who pay should have better conditions, But they do not, and this is the strange part, Were paying to be taken advantage of, were supposed to be better ourselves, As your clothes through a dryer for a hour, even if you bought them brand new from the store, and have a reciept to prove this, and then you go put them in a drawer that will be with the bugs, It Makes no sense, Now I write this review not to hurt or shame anyone but don't not understand why, it is like this, The one's who pay should get better treatment, But they do not.

Not an awful place, room for improvement, friendly staff, affordable at the time had to stay there, best advice keep ur things locked up & stay to urself n you'll be fine personally wouldn't mind staying again if I needed it.

Bed bugs everywhere, black mold everywhere. Staff nasty. Call themselves Christian bug in fact it's all about money. Racist on top of all that.

This is the nastiest cave In America. Full of nasty people with bedbugs covid old food. Judgmental Christian men. They talk to my type like a slave. It's the worst place to go to get help. The sanitary conditions are the worst on earth. Sleep on the street if you can. I was out of state homeless for a week with a car and had to stay until I got paid. It was the lions den

You are NOT an emergency shelter, you are a flop house. An emergency shelter does not charge for admission. TO ANYONE.those 30 beds for the night is a joke. I've stayed here twice. Both times I've been stolen from. (I've never been ripped off at a shelter before and I've stayed at a bunch of them, nationwide.) only come here if you're ready to be extorted. 71 years old and I would sleep next to the tracks rather than come back here.

Great Place, just treat people the way you want to be treated. Call ahead to check for open beds, be sober when you arrive as you will be breathalyzed and/or UA'd. Don't expect it to be a party. The staff is great and keeps a close eye on the tenants.

There are only 30 free beds available a night. If full then ty you can pay $13 for a bed! Was a last resort I paid $13 for a friend to stay here instead of my house! Yes I sure did! Thank you Victory Shelter

One thing I do remember is it was bad about interfering with your work and even though you're working you still got chores to do when you get back after killing yourself at a slaveyard

If you are a Orthodox then I guess it's the best place has men's shelter just make sure you bring your IDs the mission is great
