Walmart Auto Care Centers, Columbia MO

Do not go here. Slow service to start. Then, an entirely different service was performed than the one I asked for, adding yet another 45 minutes onto my hour and a half wait time. Also, they overtightened my lug nuts. Unpleasant experience overall.

Went in early to the Walmart on Conley and was told the technician was not there yet. I then called walmart on Grindstone and was told that they had a technician and I should come on over. The store manager was covering for the Auto department because of staff shortages. He was pleasant and the work was done in a timely manner. Satisfactory results.

Avoid this place. Period. I went there once in 2020 and waited over three hours for an oil change. Stupid me went back today thinking things have to be better post-pandemic. I was told it would be 30-40 minutes. After an hour and a half, still nothing and service hadn’t even started. I asked for my keys back and left. No more chances.

Walmart Auto Care Center! I understand that you get what you pay but they don't have any care for people's time! You can't make appointment. Told me it will take 2 hrs and then I end up waiting 4 hrs. They changed my wiper blade without telling and then tried to bill me. Sigh!

I had to wait for a while, but the mechanics and service manager and staff were very nice.

They scratched up the back panel of my car and backed my car into the parking spot so I wouldn't see the damage until I had gotten home.

Don't bother. I've used Walmart for all of my past oil changes, but will not be using them again. They are currently taking appointments only, but that's specifically for tires. They won't schedule appointments for oil changes, only walk ins. But when I walk in, they say they're appointment only. There's no logic here. I would look elsewhere, at least for oil changes.

I’ve come here 3 different times for an oil change and every time they’ve told me they can’t take me because they’re on their last car for the day. This is usually around 12-1 pm. At one point they had a sign out front that said they’re only doing services by appointment only because they’re low staffed - understandable. However, when you call to make an appointment they tell you they don’t make appointments and it’s first come first serve only. I’ll spend the extra $20-$30 and go to a real mechanic/auto maintenance shop.

Terrible customer service all of them are rude and they will lie about the time they can get you in or not fix what they’re supposed to charge you for it just go to a real auto center they’re terrible they don’t care

Was able to fit us in on a very busy day due to an emergency.was super nice and helpful, very grateful

Check in guy was super nice @ Grindstone location auto dept. 2 new tires. In and out in an hour, 6-7 p.m.

Twice in one week I have came to this location for tires and they told me they could get me in. I show up and they say they can’t help me. I made an appointment to get a tire replaced and they tell
Me they don’t have any appointments. Very unprofessional. All they can say is sorry. Sorry doesn’t fix my situation on getting a tire replaced when everyone else is closed for the weekend. I counted on them to get my tire put on. Second time we were left stranded on the side of the road with a baby for hours. We already called ahead and they said they could help us. I walk in and they say they can’t due to having to many appointments. If they can’t operate being short staffed maybe they should close
One store down and merge employees to the other stores.

Had a scheduled appointment. Gor there and there was no service. Went bac the next day same thing. I had to take my tires to someone else to get put on and do my oil changed.

I called the auto center to schedule an appointment for a new tire but the man on the phone (Bob) told me that “it’s not necessary to schedule because they’re slow” so he didn’t write down my name or number. I arrived at the auto shop around 4: 15 didn’t get to the register until 4: 30 just to be told I have to wait at the minimum of 2 hours because one of their workers didn’t take my name and number like they’re suppose to and because they were behind schedule! I tried calling after at least 2 hours to check on the progress of my car and it took 3 different phone calls for them to finally answer just to tell me that they haven’t even started on my car yet! It is now 8 pm and they’re just starting on it. Highly disappointed with the staff at grindstone Walmart

Where do I start!? I found a bulge in my tire, and came here to get it repaired since everyone else was closed. Right off the bat, I was hit with the BEST customer service I’ve ever experienced at any Walmart. I truly thought I was going to be stranded in Missouri, as I’m from Iowa. But with the friendliness, professionalism, and courtesy from these hard working employees - I am now able to make it home safely. Thank you so much for everything you all have done for me!

Saturday 10/02/2021. Had Douglas All-Season tires installed on one sedan, and Vercelli Strada XL tires that I had ordered for another vehicle had arrived as well so I also had them install tires on the van. Katelyn and Alex where very polite and patient with all my questions. Very good communication. It is best to just leave the vehicle and wait for them to call when vehicle is complete. Great prices. Will probably transition my entire fleet to Walmart Auto Services on Grindstone. Will update if any problems appear.

The woman at the counter was very friendly and helpful. Had a short wait time and the install was timely and done properly.

An absolute disaster. Three different days, three different appointments, three different employees I spoke to. Each employee said they had my tires ready and an appointment set up. Showed up each time and they didn’t remember me calling, said it would take at least two hours before they got my car in (after I made an appointment), and then they didn’t even have my tires in stock like they said on the phone. Three times this happened. So I finally had to just go somewhere else. Saving $20 is not nearly worth the amount of time they will waste of yours.

We are SO thankful for JR and manager Billy who just saved our travel day! We had a problem with our front left tire losing air while hauling an RV to South Dakota and they were kind enough to take pity on us and help us out with no notice. Due to COVID, their department is only taking tire emergencies and they took care of ours! Even further, JR diagnosed the problem as a bent valve stem and replaced it — at NO charge, per Billy’s decision! Not only did they save our travel and keep us from having a blow out, they were kind and caring when they didn’t have to be. The world needs not only more employees like JR and Billy, but more humans! We’re back on the road now because of their kindness and help. Thank you SO much! -Tiffany and Chris
