Walmart Supercenter, Republic MO

The most biodiverse Walmart I’ve ever been in!
The grey tree frogs were a treat to see. Although I would suggest a noise policy and anti wheel devices to keep the frogs extra safe.
Or, since a Walmart is no place for a tree frog, maybe this location can restore its grounds to provide them a better habitat outside. Certainly the concrete ditch on the north side of the site could be naturalized like South Creek in Springfield.
I hope Walmart collaborates with the city and other local businesses to put in rain gardens, native plants and natural features on their property. Because frogs like this live around here. But with the way the landscape has been changed, they’re lucky to survive the parking lot.

I’m not usually a “Karen” but wow…. If I could give this Walmart 0 stars I would, without question. Instead of fixing the floors they tape orange tape all around the floors so people don’t fall from where the floor has bubbled instead of getting it fixed. Last night, my son was sitting in the basket of the cart because their carts are so rusted and most of them don’t have properly functioning buckles or “tires” and he leaned over and went head first to the floor.

It’s a good store! They had a lot of checkers which I definitely like didn’t have to wait forever to get checked out they are friendly too!

Some shelves are a bit bare. Remember most stores used to carry about 3 days worth of supplies for an area. You might get lucky and get a day now.

Easier to shop here than Springfield where stores have to be locked down like a military base because of thieves.

This is the worst Walmart I’ve ever been to. They almost ever have things that are supposed to be in stock and when you ask someone about it nobody knows. Definitely my last time shopping here I’d rather drive the extra 20 minutes to Aurora.

We get no benefit of self checking, but they don't have to pay for a cashier. Just more profit.

Hard to navigate around their boxes and stock pallets. They also only have two registers open besides the self checkout.

This Republic Walmart is always a good place to shop. The management of this store has a well trained staff that is very friendly and willing to assist it's customers.
On the down side I don't recommend the car repair facility. Your car just may not come out of their shop without damage which they will NEVER admit to.
I have had two serious problems with Walmart car service. Once in Springfield Independence. I had a new Lincoln in for an oil change and the service advisor told me that my power steering fluid was low and they topped it off for me. A week later I took my car to the dealer because my power steering unit was leaking. They informed me that the power steering unit would have to be replaced because someone had filled it with brake fluid in it.was NOT covered by warranty because of the brake fluid. Walmart denied doing it. $$$$
I had my headlight bulbs replaced at Republic Walmart. After I picked up my Chevrolet I drove home and while walking past the front of my car I saw a large dent in the front of my hood. Jumped in the car drove back to Walmart showed the service manager the dent in the hood of my car. He told me it already had a dent in it when I brought it in.
I love to shop at Walmart, but after these two infractions, I will NEVER recommend their car service. Both of these "incidents" cost me four figures out of pocket.

Need more cashiers get rid of self checkout w÷ don't work for Walmart if u insist on customers checking themselves out at leat give the some benefits like a 5% discount ever time we check ourselves out

Typical Walmart experience.

Too much money and would rather ignore customers and talk to each other.

It's like walmart doesn't want us to come into the stores anymore. The isles are rarely stocked adequately, narrower, and now crowded with oblivious employees with their big carts. They push their way in front of customers and rarely say anything, especially "excuse me". Any semblance of customer service has disappeared. The only employees that pay any attention are the hawks at the checkout, because they wanna make sure you're not stealing anything while you're doing their jobs. If it wasn't for the driving distance to ANY other store, I would never set foot in the Republic Walmart again.

Would not match a lower price on their own website. I’m old enough to remember when Walmart refused to be beat on price with anyone, much less their own website.

This walmart is better than any of the Springfield locations. It's still not good, but I mean, it's Walmart, the necessary evil.

One stop shopping is important to me because I don't have much free time. Competitive prices and best of all human checkers to check you out.

Could not find some the item size looking forward they did not have in stock plus they don't have enough people running registers you have to self checkout and I don't like doing that and besides that that takes jobs away from people
