Warsaw Health and Rehabilitation Center

There is so much to say, but the first thing is RUN! People warned me but I went off the reviews. Boy was I wrong. There are people who truly care such as the therapists and the medication lady. They go above and beyond their job to help out. I had to physically do everything else for my mom. Push the button, just keep walking. Had to also help other residents to their rooms and into bed because no one else was around. Weekends.forget it. It's a ghost town. Law is minimum 2 showers a week. My mom was there 2 or so weeks and received 1 from in the shower room and 1 from her neighbor, who visited her daily, who had to do it out of the sink because there was no hot water for about a week and they only had hand towels. Also against the law. Changing/cleaning clothes or undergarments rarely done unless you do it. If you visit daily for long periods of time, you will notice what really goes on. I should had known it was a bad sign when we entered her so called room to a broken bed, dresser and no tray table. Very mismanaged and unsupervised. I only saw them in their offices all day having "meetings". Left because she had to be transported to the hospital due to no one doing what is asked. It's always; doctor only comes this day, urine sample takes a week or so, we lost her urine sample. Bring up a concern.answer is always we'll make a note of it and let the doctor know. Well a week in the hospital with organs shutting down, dehydration, a bed sore, pneumonia. The list goes on and they only told the ambulance driver she had a UTI. So she was left in the ER waiting room for over an hour. Any longer at this place and I am sure she would had died. Pictures were taken by everyone who visited my mom and the right people are being informed. Put that in your notes.

A wonderful place and I had my wife there for 14 years + until she passed away in August. A great staff and clean.

The reason I'm giving this place 4 stars is because I really do believe at the time of my employment which was months and months ago, years. That the staff there truly did care about the residents. But the problem was I noticed they didn't dedicate as much time to cleaning as they really should have. Plus the fact the residents had to be left in those conditions because there supposedly wasn't enough time for it. It's a very hard job emotionally and physically. But if you want to and can better someones life, this is a good cause.

I am being transferred tomorrow to a less structured assisted living facility, while my fractures finish healing from the accident that totaled my car. I am very grateful to the nursing staff for the quality of care and to the physical therapy department for all the help I received while here at Warsaw Health and Rehabilitation. I have improved a great deal while here and I could not recommend this facility more strongly to anyone needing this type of nursing support and physical therapy!

They did a house cleaning to replace the poor management and hired a bunch of male hating females, now they care about the residents but want to force all male employees out the door.

Here at Warsaw health and rehab I felt I had exceptional care close to home. All the staff made me feel welcomed and part of the community for the 26days I was there.
