I took have never been here but it was a great part of the movie " The Devil comes to Kansas City".

I've had Dr. Smitka for a couple of years now, and I've always had good experiences there with my treatments, cleanings, etc, as well as with learning about my dental needs. Dr. Smitka is knowledgeable about current procedures, and good about explaining them. Last week, there came a difficult part in my extraction procedure, and he handled my rising panic of the moment with calmness, and addressed my fears by explaining what was happening, which was exactly what I needed to get me through it. I immediately felt acknowledged and respected and, subsequently, was calmed as we finished the extraction without mishap.

I was really nervous to switch dental providers because I had gone to the same dentist in Clinton, Missouri for over a decade, but living and working in Kansas City for over four years was making it hard to justify the drive. My friend recommended Westport Family Dental to me and I have had nothing but excellent service since making the switch. One of my teeth chipped when an exuberant dog accidentally knocked me in the face; Westport Family Dental fixed my smile. I had a shadow of decay in one of my molars and Dr. Smitka watched it for six months before recommending that the small cavity be removed and filled. In just a 30-minute appointment, my tooth was repaired and looked as good as new. All of the hygienists are very good. By my second cleaning, we confirmed that my decade-long dedication to my previous dental office was a bit misplaced; they hadn't taken as much care to remove plaque below the gumline as my new hygienist as evidenced by less build-up after 6-months. I feel like my dental care is in very capable hands!

Best dentist experience I’ve ever had! Was very comfortable the whole time, they answered every single question I had very thoroughly, and they helped me sort out financial options. Haven’t seen a dentist in a decade, and this experience was so much more chill than I had imagined.

I love coming to Westport Family Dental. The team is beyond friendly and makes you feel so comfortable. I use to HATE going to the dentist and this place has changed that. Highly recommend.

Best dentist I've ever been to. Everyone is lovely, pragmatic, and compassionate. Bree (Bri?) at the front desk is an administrative wonderwoman and excellent ambassador to this superior establishment. Additionally, they pull this off without tech flair (like iPads/screens during treatment) but with interesting decor and good vibes.

Wanted to send a hug shout out to Carol & Bri @ Westport Family Dental, for a wonderful experience and blessed time. From the second Bri got on the phone I could hear her energy. Coming in I felt so welcomed and loved! We talked forever and ever! Their hearts could be seen so easy. In a cold world where we get taken over my the motions of life. It’s good to have an opportunity to see real people and real smiles! So refreshing! God bless you allll!

A little over a year ago, Dr. Sheridan told me I needed several fillings (I think it was six, but not absolutely sure that's accurate). I have never had a cavity. I was there for a routine cleaning as a new patient to her. I was very doubtful. No pain, no visual problems. Today I've gone for my second cleaning since then with another dentist and still zero decay or problems. I'm glad I didn't spend thousands of dollars on unnecessary dental work.

*UPDATE* I returned last week and was very happy with the service I received. I will definitely be returning. I'm so glad you all found a better dentist.

The dental anxiety/phobia I have is almost crippling but wow, am I so happy that I pulled the trigger to cal this practice and make an appointment. The ladies at the front, Bri and Carol, have that calming touch of small talk to get you ready to go back, and then Dr. Smitka and his crew take care of the rest of my nerves. I don’t even dread going to the dentist anymore; I now almost look forward to it and getting to see everyone. On top of it all, with my insurance, it’s all so insanely affordable. I don’t feel like I’m breaking the bank on these procedures.

Everybody at Westport Family Dental is awesome. From the front desk, to the top notch dentistry, you can tell this practice is passionate about their patient's care and well being. 5/5 stars is an understatement. Westport Family Dental is the best dental clinic I have ever been to.

I love this dental office. They work extremely fast, are very thorough, the staff is all very professional and friendly and they play good music! They are upfront about any costs on upcoming visits and I always leave feeling like I was treated with kindness and respect. 10/10 would recommend!

This is the first dentist I have ever felt truly comfortable at. Everyone is so kind, especially the reception ladies, and seems to enjoy the work they do. Can't recommend them enough!

Customer service changed from being stellar to being unfavorable. I wouldn't recommend this place, there are other better places around here.
