Whisper Hollow Apartments, Maryland Heights MO

Upon move in to WH we had friendly + prompt service and follow-up with office requests. It is lovely, safe and quiet here! I'm happy with my choice to live here!

As a new resident at Whisper Hollow, I could not be happier with my experience thus far! First, the office team has been super nice and incredibly supportive throughout my move-in. Kennedy in particular is amazing! She has made my move-in such a smooth process despite a few speedbumps by offering assistance and being very communicative with me - she definitely goes above and beyond for you! Second, maintenance is extremely responsive - they fixed issues the same day of submitting a request! And, lastly, the actual apartment has exceeded expectations. It is updated with modern touches in both the kitchen and the bathroom, so you get all of the features of a "new" apartment with the charm of an older complex. I highly recommend this place to everyone!

I would like to add 2 drawbacks
1. No playground for kids
2. Maintenance guy don’t like to go with a minimum effort to resolve any issues. Additionally, he’s behaved like almost in rude level. (From our experience)

Other than above downsides, I would say it’s a great place to live according to your budget.

Resident since 2020. It’s a good price for the area, and the staff do a phenomenal job.
Maintenance responds in a timely fashion, are very effective, and are very transparent. The staff communicate issues, inspections, and events well. The price for rent for STL is below the average. To add, the apartments are just nice to live in and very well cared for.
Would definitely recommend for those in STL.

Worst property manager I have seen so far - I stayed for 3 + years in whisper hollow and when we gave notice 60 days she is asking to come to office since we are ooo - we told we will notarize the docs. But instead of helping us - she is threatening and speaking very bad and disrespectful.

Worst manager I have seen so far - earlier manager is very friendly. She has worst attitude.

I enjoy living in my new neighborhood. Good neighbors and a peaceful environment. It has excellent maintenance. They are consistently on time and perform effectively.

I lived here for several years. I had issues with maintenance several times. Things wouldn't get fixed even after multiple calls. The worst was when my power went out and they blamed Ameren and Ameren insisted it was their job to fix. Several hours later with no heat during one of the coldest days in winter after several calls to maintenance, I got them to fix it.

I had issues when I was moving out and still had time on my lease where contractors kept tools in my apartment. I complained to the apartment complex. Later, after I locked my apartment, these contractors again broke in and turned down my AC and where using my bathrooms while I wasn't present (I had moved into my new house but still had time on my lease).

I was charged money for items being in the same condition as I got the apartment in. If you're willing to take a chance on a place where they don't invest in replacing things like old breakers, you have to make multiple requests to maintenance to get things fixed, and the management isn't responsive to issues that arise, and they'll steal your deposit when you leave, this is your place!

This apartment complex is very nice compared to many places I reviewed and stayed in. Their prices, compared to everyone else, are much more affordable. Bonus, and they also include excellent amenities! I stayed in a rather large studio with enough room to be comfortable. Their stainless steel appliances, and the cabinetry is very nice. If I requested repairs, maintenance responded promptly. The Property Owner and staff care significantly for the complex and its grounds. The staff was amiable and very accommodating. You cannot go wrong leasing there.

The most responsive leasing office during my apartment search made the choice to go with Whisper Hollow easy. A ton of great amenities, a great floor plan and a reasonable price!

Very nice and updated property. Jason was also very helpful and answered all my questions.

Don't rent form these people. Once you sign your lease they nickel and dime you with fee's and when you choose to end your lease, they'll charge you thousands of dollars to do so with a lease termination fee and then you still have to buy out the rest of your contract. The final straw was being hit with a $50 non-compliance fee for renters insurance.

When I asked Kristi (one of the PM's) what the issue with my current renters insurance was, she danced around the question and said she would send my account to legal if I didn't pay the fee. I have been demanding a copy of the supposed correspondence between me and them about the non-compliance, but she keeps ignoring my request.

Property management is supposed to be there till 530PM but constantly leave early. The one of two dryers in the place has been broken since I've been there; about 4 months now.

If you are going to rent form them, I suggest you have a lawyer look over the contract with you. Otherwise, find another place. It's much cheaper anywhere else and you'll probably get better services also.

The absolute worst apartment complex ever. I have lived here for 3 years. If I could give 0 stars I would. DO NOT MOVE HERE. No type of security or concern for their residents safety. They have people who are no longer supposed to be on the premises still on the grounds and harassing actual tenants who live here. The people who should not be on the premise still have keys to locks they should no longer have access to. 0/10 do not recommend.

We lived for 5 years and after moving out we called the leasing office thrice to check for any pending payments. They said it is all good and will refund the deposit soon. And now after two months they called at 3 Pm and asked us that we have not settled the final payment for the damages $XXX (most of them were normal wear and tear) and needed to be paid by EOD. We told like we didn’t get any emails for the payment notification earlier but they were very rude and unreasonable.
Extremely disappointing with their service.

I love this place. The staff is competent, pleasurable, and caring. Maintenance responds to the request within 24 hours. I never had to wait. The grounds are well-manicured. Everything is accessible within the community. Best place I have ever lived. Neighbors are quiet.

Incompetent staff. Mice in the apartments. Maintenance doesn't show up for repair requests. Neighbors mess with your cars. Cigarette butts on the ground in the parking lot. Do not rent from here. You will regret it! Not worth the high prices! They bribe people with money to write reviews. People will write anything if you pay them!

HQ management does have some rules which doesn't make sense; namely it's in the contract that there will be a two month penalty for breaking lease even if you inform them at least 60 days early.

Which begs the question on why would one need to inform management ahead of time. Just ride out the contract or just leave and pay the penalty.
