I can't emphasize enough how impressed I am with the Wickes mechanic team. They've not only secured themselves a new customer but also turned a potentially stressful situation into a remarkably pleasant experience. Here's the story:

Recently, I encountered an issue with a stubbornly stripped bolt on my vehicle, and I was at my wit's end trying to figure out how to address it. That's when I turned to Wickes, and I'm incredibly glad I did.

Mechanic Tim, with his wealth of knowledge and skills, immediately took charge of the situation. He not only rectified the problem swiftly but also went above and beyond to ensure that my vehicle was in top-notch condition before I hit the road again. Tim's expertise and dedication to his craft were truly admirable.

However, it wasn't just Tim's technical prowess that stood out; it was also the friendliness with which he and the entire Wickes team treated me. Jeff Wicke has been incredibly helpful to me. He showed me what was wrong and had me look at the broken parts. Unfortunately I had to get the car towed to the dealership as it needed work done exclusively by Chevrolet but he even offered to call them and explain everything to them as I wasn’t totally understanding it. Took a different car there a few years ago and was equally as pleased. I will be back!

No appointments needed; first come, first serve. Very helpful and friendly staff. Also, they always give treats to my dog! In a good location and easy to find. They don't have a working relationship with rental car companies, so if the labor takes longer than a day, you'll need to take care of that separately, but otherwise Wicke is a great local neighborhood auto body shop.

As a new resident of Missouri and Saint Louis I had a lot of trouble finding a mechanic and shop that was honest, knowledgeable and reliable. After my car broke down due to a large pot hole that caused electrical failure in the system I was told by one of my new neighbors to use Wicke Auto Service.

I walked into the shop and was welcomed with a genuine smile from Jeff. I explained what had happened and asked if they could investigate and repair. The team ran diagnostics, changed out my spark plugs, and vacuumed the excess oil. When I came back in to follow up Jeff informed me of a compression issue in Cylinder 4. He spent a good deal of time explaining what that meant, the tests they did and what he would recommend. I didn’t feel cheated or that I was being taken advantage of. After leaving the shop I left more knowledgeable and confident in the resolution for my vehicle. The team was courteous, knowledgeable and professional. I would highly recommend using this shop for any of your repair needs and that includes daily maintenance like oil changes.

They are honest and on time. I have used them for about 40 years and have only had top notch experiences. I use them for complete auto care and not just bodywork.

Coming way up on initial review. And might nudge it up a little more. Some miss perceptions. Wrote a review, and Jeff took the initiative to figure out who I was and give me a call. Explained the how and what. Listened to me and made things right! Long story short - I am 800 miles away, trying to be Dad, 500 for a flare tire sounded exorbitant, till I found out there was a curb, alignment concerns, and a genuine desire to make things right for the customer - thanks Jeff!

It was the fastest service I have ever had. I had a nail in one of my tires and left my car with them first thing in the morning. They did the work within 40 minutes. Charges: $35, very reasonable. I don't live in Saint Louis, but I visit every weekend since my wife stays here. I might end up getting subsequent servicing done here with them.

Update: it has been almost two years since my first review above, and my feedback is the same. I got a wheel bearing replacement done along with a couple of oil changes. They are the best among other auto shops in the area. Honest diagnosis. Now that we are about to move from Saint Louis, I'll want an autoshop like Wikce's in my new place.

I love the team here. We've used them regularly for 5 years! They communicate really well & work you in any time they can, but also willing to say if you should bring it a different day for oil changes and inspections. Gave us 2 options for a perfect (expensive) or a really good (much less expensive) body repair & the less expensive still looked perfect.

I brought my car in just a little over a week ago for a body repair that another shop estimated would take three months. Wicke got it done in just about a week and made the process extremely easy for me. And my car looks great. Highly recommend this shop!
