Winnwood Skate Center reviews
20First time being in a while and had fun. Wasn't really crowded for a Saturday surprisingly.
When visiting this place for the first time, my family and I thought it would be a good place to skate. However, when entering the building it was very apparent it lacked organization and was highly chaotic. Not much seating could be had, too many little kids out on the main floor with support rollers that could be ran over and hurt. I have nothing against children as I have my own, but when you have young ones going in several different directions on a One Direction floor it is an accident waiting to happen. I did not get a refund naturally and wasn't worried about it too much, we just put our skates on Sat for a few minutes contemplating on if we should stay and then ultimately remove their skates and left the building promptly. I would not recommend going here and instead going to River Roll in Riverside Missouri. Very organized and less people to run over.
I had fun the staff was polite and the owner was very professional and courteous and made feel at home. I love this place. 5 st@rs
They have arcade games they do parties skating and and the have food and they play music and have great service.
Nostalgic, went with family very clean staff was pleasant absolutely loved the experience. If you want a fun night out with the family this is the place to be, or if you want an adult only experience they do have a day for that.
Skate class on Saturday mornings is such a great time! Luke is an incredible teacher and my classmates are all so very friendly! I look forward to this day every week!
Man it is Fantastic still. I used to go in the '80s. It is great to know it still looks great. Prices are good also.
Took my daughter and her friends skating on a Friday night at about 6pm for her birthday. This skating rink was pretty kid friendly. The front desk staff was helpful and kept and eye on the girls when I ran to my car. Pizza was good as were the slushees. My daughter did say someone ran into her pretty hard and she fell. Bruised her tail bone for a week.
Went for ladies night. Unfortunately, it wasn't as advertised. It was not all women. It was mostly men and children. Also it was really packed.
It's a good place to take your kids but I would not leave my kids there with out adult supervision also love grown up night here
Good ole Winwood! I learned to skate here 50 years ago! Doesn't seem possible. My Daughter's and Granddaughters loved it! Really like the PVC helpers for new skaters! Still have the begginer rink. Snack bar was expensive and not stocked.
This will always be my stomping ground. I've been there since I was a kid and I will forever keep going once I leave this earth.
Staff was super friendly and nice. Good music. Unfortunately, we went for adult skate night as something different to do. We aren’t professional roller skaters by any means and because of that we encountered a few really rude patrons. Specifically, a red-headed girl who went out of her way to yell at multiple members of my party for not exiting the rink fast enough for her liking. By the way she acted, I’m not sure she’s gotten over some middle school roller rink trauma and now feels she can get her revenge. Otherwise, great time. Just avoid the ‘professionals’.
Been going to Winwood skating rink since I was a little kid And we went on a Saturday at 4 o'clock And had no air conditioning one of the Hottest days this summer And they said It's not on because trying to save money They're going to lose money No one wants to go it's too hot Just saying come on people
I remember when the Dj’s used to be great. Since I’ve been coming recently the Dj’ has really made me spend my 10$ on adult nights else where
Amazing place to skate at. It has a really nice wood floor, staff are really nice. It has a small beginner skating area in the corner and the skates they had are great. There are a few ups and downs about the place, but they don't really affect me that much. So, I really recommend this place for skating.
The DJ's play good music, the environment is cool and everyone minds their own business. Everybody is there to enjoy their selves.
I love how open the rink is. There are no "sides" to hold onto in the main skate area, so the rink is much bigger than any I had been to. There is also a beginners section where there are handrails to practice and get the hang of things. I was also pleasantly surprised at how cheap they are. They've got food and arcade games as well, very cool place!
Best $5 deal EVER! Skate class and open skate after. Great staff, families and kids having a great time, making friends, exercising and socializing. From 5yrs old to 70s, all learning and having fun together. Best way to spend a Saturday.
Love this rink. The price is nice the staff is great. Just went for the lessons it was fun. Just wish they had more days.
