Acton Bar

EXCELLENT! This was our 1st time eating here, and we will definitely be back. The atmosphere and service was great. The food is phenomenal! I highly recommend the Bourbon bacon jam burger. Drinks were great as well.

What a wonderful bar and grill in the middle of nowhere. I had the Prime Rib with French Onion Soup and it was excellent.

Great place to meet up during the Rally last year. Took my mom today for her 83rd bday and it was amazing!

Came back today for sons birthday. 2nd time here and they never disappoint. I'm from the south and we will literally grade a restaurant on their chicken fried steak. I can tell you it in the top 3 I've ever had and the French onion soup is in the top 2.

This place is amazing and anyone that drives by without stopping is missing out.

The server was very good, unfortunately the food did not do well. The prime rib and ribeye were bland. And had too many mishaps. Was so excited from reviews, it was a huge letdown.

3 North Bar & Grill, has amazing food, service was great and on point. The inside of the restaurant / Bar looks like Buffalo Wild Wings.

Traveled over 500 miles to see Acton Montana hoping to get a picture next to a town sign that says "Welcome to Acton" but there is no sign for the town. Bummer. We did get to be the first people named Acton that the staff had ever met. Poutine was good, ribs were flavorful. My wife loved the strawberry Creamsicle.

Outstanding food and drinks! Everything was cooked perfectly, and the drinks were amazing. We had the orphan girl creme brulee, and it was to die for!

We were coming in late from camping on Sunday and 3 North went out of their way to accommodate our large group while they were swamped, and I believe they may have been short staffed. We have been in many times as the food and service is always wonderful. Definitely a go-to place for us even for weekend ride from Billings for lunch.

Made reservations for our 45th anniversary. Everything was set up when arrived. Prompt friendly service after being seated. I ordered a Strawberry Rhubarb Moscow Mule and my husband ordered a beer, followed by Shrimp Scampi for me and Prime Rib for him. Everything was prepared perfectly! To finish off we shared an Orphan Crème Brûlée - Amazing. Stephanie, our waitress, added to our evening with her upbeat personalized service. 3 North is the perfect place to celebrate special occasions.

A friend of mine & I decided to take a drive & found ourselves at the 3 North Bar & Grill. We figured we would try our luck at the Keno & Poker machines. There were a few people eating at the bar & one table that was just ordering their food. Not one single word was said to us. No kind of acknowledgment at all, not even a head nod! There was a middle-aged female behind the bar & a younger female in the bar area waiting on a table which was located right near the entrance, so there was no way that we weren't noticed.
We walked to the little area where the gaming machines are located, sat down & gambled for about 15-20 minutes. We figured by that time somebody would pop their head in & check on us to see if we needed anything or just to even welcome us. NOTHING. We finished playing our machines & decided to just leave. Why should we have to hunt someone down for service, especially when it's not busy. We enjoy playing Keno & Slots & usually spend a considerable amount of money not just on gambling alone but also trying out appetizers, food & drinks. We had such high expectations for this place, but we were surely disappointed.

Great food. I had the short ribs because I can't have them at home and I was not disappointed. Very good. Nice little get away from Billings. Could've used some soft music. At one point you could only hear people talking. A minor thing tho.

TERRIBLE steaks. This is Montana! Three people at our table spit it out. It had a questionable flavor and, being in the early stages of pregnancy, I didn’t want to risk eating foul-flavored red meat. After hesitantly sending the steak back, mind you I felt awful and embarrassed about it as I’ve worked in the restaurant industry, and our server was SO gracious about it. But then the Manager (I presume…. I didn’t catch her name) personally went out of her way to chew me out in front of our entire party for being the only one [tonight] to verbally complain about their filet. She said we cost them a terrible expense. A re-done steak that tastes just as bad as the first is not an expense. They got a second chance and blew that one too. The only thing those steaks cost them was a bad review from an honest person. You’d think our five other entrees would have paid for it and then some.

As for the atmosphere, it’s dark and hot in the dining room. The three windows are only about two feet wide, so they offer no light and absolutely no view.

Again, our waitress was so great! I hope she decides not to work for that woman. Then there won’t be anything positive about the establishment, AT ALL. If you’re going to eat there because your car broke down, your bike was stolen, your friends are all out of town, and your phone is dead so there’s no hopes of an Uber, stick to the bar food. Get something fried. You’ll thank me.

***Amendment to my first review, after owner’s response: If you can’t leave an honest review, what’s the point of reviewing? ! I’m going to do what I can to let everyone know that this place is a waste of money. And “Dog-doo-doo” is not in my vocabulary. It was never said.
I am blown away to hear that it was the owner who was so rude to us.

The host asked if I was ready to cash out my casino ticket while I was still playing. I said no and then asked for another drink. She called me an a$$. Then continued to call me names and gave me a hard time when I was cashing out my ticket and paying for my group's round of drinks. I left my $160 winnings on the counter and will not be returning to this establishment.

Went there on Mother's Day. Needed reservations, which we had. Menu covers everything from appetizers, salad, main entrees. Also had a special menu for the day. They were busy.

We had dinner there last night and it was excellent! It started with my mango daiquiri and trio appetizers, which were enough to fill you up before the meal ever came out. Oh the cheese curds and soft pretzel bites are so yummy. That special sauce they make, we had to order extra to take home! Our meals were so delicious! We had a party of 4. I had fettuccine alfredo it was so yummy and I am picky. My husband had their chicken fried steak and mashed potatoes- it came with 2 steaks. My brother had a twist on the French dip and he loved it! My sister had the jalapeño popper burger and she couldn't stop making sounds as she was eating. It was an exceptional meal and the service was great. We will definitely be going there again!
