Apgar Village Lodge & Cabins reviews
15A gem! Beautiful location with awesome views. Family room on the second floor was spacious and clean. Linda was so accommodating at check in. Worth every penny!
Fulfilled a bucket list item and spent a week here. Everyone on the Staff was super nice. Cabins were clean and comfortable. Can't beat the convenience of being in Apgar Village. For being right in Apgar Village, the cabin area is very quiet, especially at night.
Spent 4 nights in one of the cabins and I couldn’t be happier with our choice to stay here! Ben from Florida checked us in and he was super nice and helpful during our stay. The cabin was clean, cozy and had the basics of what we needed. We had an amazing “picture view” of the water. I love that everything you need in the village is in walking distance, but you are tucked away from the crowd for privacy. Can’t wait to come back one day!
This was our little home away from home while we were on vacation. The location, while not directly Lakeview, was still amazing. We really enjoyed having access to the beautiful creek off of Lake McDonald. Just a very short walk and you are Lakefront with a view of the mountains. The cabin did have a kitchenette, stocked with pots, pans, utensils, a coffee maker, toaster and dishes which was very nice. The bathroom was incredibly small which included the shower being very small. I did find the bed sheets to be rather scratchy, but that's a personal preference. This was a great place to stay to have easy access to some main attractions such as going to the Sun Road. We would definitely stay here again.
Great location, Very close to the waterAnd beautiful viewsThe cabin we had was very small very old And rustic. Room not very clean. Bathroom was ridiculously small.
Fun little area to stop and buy souvenirs at. There is a small dinner and two ice cream shops with coffee for those that want it.
Great place to sleep, close to the big lake for a hike and watch the sunrise, it’s close to the gift-shop and restaurant
We stayed in a smaller cabin, no kitchen, but it has a good sized bathroom, bed fits two people, you have a screen door, and chairs and table outside
They have an old fashioned radiator, that can really warm up the room, but it makes you have a very dry feeling, so adjust it according to your comfort level
Stayed in a motel room before a Glacier trip park. We were riverfront. No AC, cell service, or TV in the room and wouldn’t have had it any other way. The view from the bed was teal blue river water, which when eased into revealed a stunning mountain range on a lake. Absolutely gorgeous. There was a box fan for cooling and night temps got down to be more than comfortable. Close to many awesome hiking trails, has everything you need. Will return!
Great place to get some food and shop. Right next to the Lake. Friendly helpful staff. You can tell they are good when you have to deal with this covid issue. Can't wait to go back and visit the park when it is fully open.
This is a great location within Glacier National Park and Apgar Village has many things to offer like Eddie’s Cafe, cute gift shops, outdoor activities, and it’s located right on Lake McDonald. We stayed in a motel style room #26 and were able to see Lake McDonald from our room. The only reason I gave this 4 stars is because the walls are thin and we heard other people’s conversations (which kept us up a little at night). I thought having no air would be an issue but it wasn’t (even though it was August). During the day, we were out exploring and overnight the room stayed cool enough where we didn’t need AC. There was a box fan in one room and small oscillating fan in the other room. I would recommend bringing an extension cord for the oscillating fan since the outlet is behind the bed. The staff is super friendly as well. I would gladly stay here again! Thank you for your hospitality!
Rented bikes. Service was friendly & knowledgeable. It's pretty dead right now due to covid so it's been awesome.
We had a walk-in stay. We showed up, asked if there was any vacancy. Available was one of the standard motel rooms, not the cabins.
The room was quite tidy and clean. The sheets and towels were clean and free of stains.
The room is a very basic small footprint with two separate beds, no TV, no A/C - neither, is really needed.
The motel/lodge is right in the mix of the Apgar Village and a stone's throw away from Lake McDonald and various little shops, and cafe's.
Would I stay again? Sure
Nice place to stay and shop while you are at Glacier National Park. This are some of the things you can buy at the shop in the village
Closed for the season at this time. I have never been in the hotel part, but the shops are fun + ice cream.
This appears to be a really nice place to stay on your Glacier NP trip if you are willing to pay the premium. There is a definite alpine village feel to the area. The setting is exceptional and it is hard to find a better view. There are some services conveniently located nearby and Lake McDonald is just steps away. Employees are a mixed bag. Some are very helpful and friendly. Others seem to be tolerant of your presence. Prices are higher than places outside the park. Parking is limited. Egress never really seems to be an issue.
