Ashley lake is absolutely gorgeous. However, the boat ramp is total chaos. The road leading down to the ramp turns into traffic around LAX at about 9am. Everyone seems to lose their mind when deciding to park. Even those without boats seem to find a way to plug any turnaround or pull off point. Once the crowd is the there the single lane road turns into a. 75 road and man oh man you better pray you don't go down as someone comes up. Just a heads up for boat launching, it's shallow so keep that trim trailered.

It's a looooong dirt road drive, but worth every bump! This lake is absolutely gorgeous and there's beauty everywhere!

Beautiful place but very small public area makes it hard to have a good time.
