Avon Family Cafe

We were on holiday in Montana from Scotland, and were passing through Avon on our way to Glacier national Park, having seen the reviews of this place we decided to give it a go, so glad we did. We arrived at 1.50 not realising it was due to close at 2 pm, but Sue who was working the tables told us to sit down and take our time, no rush. Food was excellent, as was the service, we got key lime pie to go which was fantastic. A great place to stop for breakfast or lunch, the only thing I would recommend is to advertise more before you arrive there, as we drove by it, and had to turn back. Apart from that, no complaints.

Exceptional. We stopped here for lunch on our way from Yellowstone to Glacier. Family owned and run. Food was amazing. Very friendly. Make sure you get a slice of pie!

Everyone in the cafe laughed when we discovered that there were 3 strangers sharing a Birthday in such a small cafe in Avon Montana.

Good family food with the best desserts this side of France! Do not miss the walnut pie or the best cinnamon roll ever. The food is traditional Montana with large portions. Eat like a local, and you'll understand why this place is a little bit of heaven when traveling over McDonald Pass.

The pie is exceptionally delicious. I buy it every time I have a chance to stop by. The people in the shop are friendly and kind.it's the best.

This place is so homey and the staff treat you like family even if you aren’t a local. Every time I walk in the smell brings me back to simpler times and reminds me of a cabin resort I used stayed at while growing up. Make sure you save room for dessert!

Ordered take out of hamburger soup and pasty around lunchtime, on 4th June 2022, while driving north from Galveston, TX, to Tuktoyaktuk, NT Canada. The soup was fantastic. The pasty was average - even salsa could not make it tasty.

I use to eat here a lot when I was younger. My grandpa Clayton Weedeman lived and worked in Avon. It was so awesome to stop for a bite. Brought back memories

This is a great little place off the side of the road. If you blink, you'll miss it! The food is sooo good (big portions) and the people who work there are just wonderful old-school peeps. Love it!
Oh, I can't forget, clean bathrooms, too!

Stopped in on way home. Like everywhere else, a meal costs more, but food was GREAT & staff was very attentive!
