Bar 3 Bar-B-Q, Belgrade MT

When you are in Montana and see all that beef wandering around in those pastures you got to wonder what they taste like as barbecue. Well, we found the place that serves pretty dang good barbecue and that's bar three barbecue and Belgrade Montana.

The wife and I decided to go for the barbecue and we split The two meat platter which we chose the smoked turkey and brisket. The turkey was very delicious. It was not dried out. It was moist, very tender and had a great smoke to it. The brisket on the other hand was outstanding. I mean most of the time when you get brisket it's a little dry. It's probably been sitting around for a while and it's not very fresh. Not here. This stuff came out moist, juicy and melted in your mouth. Whatever they're doing out there. They're doing it right serving it up hot and juicy man Oh man! It was great.

I also enjoyed the unique sauces that they offered. They had a variety from spicy to sweet and everything in between. The sour mash was probably my favorite and I seem to put that on everything we ordered so that should tell you, it's pretty darn good.

My son, not sticking with the theme, got fish tacos which I found interesting at a barbecue place. But hey, who am I to judge. That being said, they were pretty good fish tacos. I snagged one off his plate and had a couple bites and it was not too bad. Good fried fish, nice sauce, good slaw. Not a bad fish taco at a barbecue joint.

The item that we all decided to share were the pulled pork cheese fries. Pretty hard to describe that any further. It starts with a bed of fries with pulled pork and a generous portion of melted cheese and Chipotle sauce. It looks fantastic and it was fantastic. I recommend this appetizer for table to share and is a good way to kick off a great meal.

Overall, Bar 3 BBQ was a pleasant surprise. Just good BBQ, good service and a pretty cool atmosphere. If you're out near, Belgrade which is a part of the airport, swing by grab some good barbecue, hit those cheese fries, and enjoy yourself. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

We’ve never done a review but these guys deserve it. Absolutely the best bbq we’ve ever had and hats off to the pit master. We’ve eaten takeout as well as dine in and it’s always on point. Beer is fantastic and service fast, friendly, and helpful. We actually do our employee summer event every year using their food and it’s always gone off without a hitch. We highly recommend them and will be ordering their baby back ribs next weekend!

This is one of the best bar-b-q places in the Bozeman area. The side dishes are all so good.

Wow! Everything tasted great and the server was sweet and personable. BIG win! Finally found a place to go back to. Chx Fried Steak was the best I've had and the mashers to go with were authentic and delish! Bar 3 Burger and fries were awesome, too! Hats off!

Stopped after an airport run and wow, beer, whiskey and bbq! Christina at the bar was the most attentive service we have ever experienced! Highly recommended.

Walked in to get my to go order, and was aggressively confronted by a man asking me who i was and what I was doing. When I found out he was the MANAGER. I was so shocked by the terrible customer service, that I left without my food.

Great bbq with a wide variety of selections. We have yet to find a dish we don't like.

We called in are usual to go order which was Cobb salads and what we got was anything but it was a bunch of old pieces of lettuce put in it to go container with a little foil pouch of meat. There were a couple of slices of egg and some bacon. It was the absolute worst. I will not go there again ever ever. Unacceptable!

This is a must stop for BBQ. It's consistently good food and good service. Parking is a little tricky, but worth it!

We came to Bar 3 BBQ on a Sunday morning and the restaurant wasn't to busy. The food and beers were good but that was the extent of it. Our waitress Halle took our drink order which took about 10+ minutes to receive. Once we got our drinks and our server Halle took our food order, that was the last we saw of her. Someone else brought our food, and despite us seeing her walking around, Halle and no other servers came back to check how we were doing. We had to go up and get our own silverware and napkins so we could eat our meals, no one came by to see if need refills, and after waiting a significant amount of time, we went up, got our own togo boxes, and had to ask to pay our tab. When asking for our tab, our server Halle's only response was "you weren't in my normal section, I forgot about you, my bad". We'd go back here for the food, but the service wasn't worth our time.

I likes the bbq it was good not great. The service wasn’t so good. Bartender was giving more attention to the waitresses than bar customers. Took forever to place our order. Then she tells us the fryers are broken.

This is not BBQ. Chicken was super dry, black skin and had no flavor. Ribs were not good either. Sweet potato waffle fries were undercooked and had no seasoning. Nothing is cooked over open flame or indirect heat like true BBQ. Ribs tasted like they were baked in the oven. Lot of money for mediocre food. Won’t be returning.

The food was of less quality than a national BBQ chain. The beer was flat as was the service. The place has potential but not this time.

So. My sister called Bar 3 Bar-B-Q today because it was my birthday. She wanted to buy all the employees of Finish Line Auto in Belgrade lunch. FOR MY BIRTHDAY! They would not take to go orders. So. I thought what is the difference if I go there and order and take it with me!? Asked for the manager and they went back twice and he or she did not come out. The hostess said we only have one cook today and we are out of brisket! What BBQ joint runs out of brisket before they even open for business? ! They have lost our business and I am going to tell everybody I know that they are closed and no longer. To tell you the truth.was never much of a fan anyway.ribs should fall off the bone.shouldn't have to chew on them! 0 Stars should be an option also.have to click on one star to post!

First of all.you did not tell me in person that you could not prepare the order with my notice. No alternative pick up time was offered to me in person. There was about 5 people in the joint when I was there.had just opened at 11: 00 and I was there at 11: 30. Manager should always take the time to talk to a customer. Not acceptable. If you run out of brisket.at least offer the customer an alternative instead of we only have one cook and we are out of brisket! Willow Creek has the best ribs in the valley and they do fall off the bone! Don't tell me those are overcooked! Everyone I have ever talked to has said they are to die for! Not impressed with your long drawn out response filled with lies! Poor business practices deserve one star reviews.

For the price I was expecting to be blown away with the flavor. I was not. The BBQ was good however not a place I will eat at again. The lettuce was old as well.
