Big Arm / Flathead Lake State Park reviews
18Loved it. Very clean. It had a very beautifully view of the lake. The beds were very comfortable. My favorite part was the skylight at the top of the yurt. When laying on the bed you you could see the stars, and one night there was a thunder storm off in the distance and you could see the flashes. It was really cool. We would absolutely stay there again.
If you want to get away and enjoy the lake, this is the spot for you! Sit by the fire, enjoy a BBQ, or take the boat out! Camping ends for the season on 11/1 but when it resumes, it's a beautiful place for RVs or tent camping!
We stayed in one of there yurts and we had a blast. Our dog loved every minute we were there,
Great state park whether you’re coming for the day or camping there. $8 entrance fee for out-of-state vehicles, not bad. Great views of the lake from this side. Parking limited. Barely any food around so definitely pack a cooler.
Camp site was nice and big. Right on the water. The only negative thing was parking. You have to squeeze a camper and vehicle basically on the road then walk in to site. They are perfect for tent camping
My Mom was a Montana woman & this was one of her favs! Mine too! Sites right next to the water!
No hookups or dumpsite. Water is available but not at every site. Restrooms and showers available. Every campsite has a picnic table and firepit. Very clean and quiet. Highly recommend reserving a spot online as they fill up fast.
Even though it's very hard to get a reservation any time, I have camped here before & it was my mom's favorite spot on the Lake! A lot of spots are right next to the water! Great place to relax!
State park was great. Said it was full but I cruised it anyway and found a spot said open for one night. Got it, right on lake. Bathroom had a shower. Had a good day and night.
Almost all sites are parallel sites, very tight, very crowded. No hookups, water spigot near the comfort stations. One set of pay per minute showers
Beautiful! Breathe taking views. No electricity but they have fresh water spouts, clean bathrooms, clean showers, firewood and ice. Many spots are shaded with perfect cover while some are more open! Camp hosts are so nice and knowledgeable about the area and the park! I will come here again anyway, thumbs up!
Beautiful campground right on the lake. Spur of the moment. Drove in and asked if they had a site for the night. They did. Nice size site. We have a 10x20 tent and had no issues. Very clean. The camp hosts were great. Very friendly and jovial. Would highly recommend.
Can't beat this place - about as close to the water as you can get (if you can get a spot).
I stayed in one of the 3 yurts they have. It was very clean. I would suggest bringing another heater during the cooler nights. They also include a tent pad next to the yurt for guest. The Yurts are $50 to $60 per night plus a $10 reservation fee. This is a great deal to stay withing walking distance to Flathead lake.
It was a fun place to get out and enjoy enjoy mountain and lake views. We walked around the campground and played in the water while here. We paid 8$ non-resident fee to get in.
Great park, picnic area on Flathead Lake. Chipmunks everywhere running and chattering. Nice dock to launch boats plus campground, and urts you can rent from the Forrest Service on there website, reasonable rates, but must place reservation in January as they rent out quick. Have bunk beds, electrical units like microwave, fireplace to stay warm.
Still one of our favorite state parks to visit. They have Yurts, campsites, trails and it's right on Flathead lake
Good swimming and a great place to picnic and hang out. The "beach" is small but plenty of room to swim.
