Big Sky Resort reviews
16Our family trip to Big Sky staying in Powder Ridge manitou 3 and 5 was one of our favorite vacations!
Super friendly valet, wonderful guest services, great service at their restaurant but the menu/food quality needs some improvement.
Big Sky lives up to its name. So much terrain that you can ski a week and hardly repeat the same trails. Terrain for all abilities.
The pool could be opened later for how much
It costs. But everyone there is so so nice and makes the experience so unique. Will be coming back!
Rooms were super clean; the front desk staff was slow. The location was at the base of the mountain.
Its far cry from what i once was. Since the sale things have gotten unaffordable for locals.
I have to say that we were truly amazed with the facilities, activities, food and service. The staff are extremely friendly and knowledgeable. We came in July to visit some of the area’s national parks and wished we would have stayed one extra day to spend time on the grounds. We stayed in the Huntley Lodge and our breakfast was included in the Chet’s Restaurant. You never really have to leave the resort and there is no shortage of activities. Highly, highly recommend staying here!
Biggest skiing in America isn’t just a meaningless tag line. Big Sky Resort is epic and likely to be the greatest skiing you’ve ever done! Great snow, unparalleled natural beauty, and lift serviced access to extreme terrain. You just can’t beat it!
Mega ski area. Large crowds, but lots of facilities, so everything moves along. Very upscale base area. Huge ski run selection for all levels. In the same realm as Vail, Breckenridge, Whistler, Park city, Mammoth.
Disclaimer trail maps make it look bigger than it is. It’s still massive. Don’t take the moose lift, it’s 20 minutes with no bar. But the glades are perfect. The bowl is fun. The catwalks are are long and the trails are smooth
This mountain was incredible! We skied from January 16th to January 19th 2023. The only wait was at the main base around lunch time. That was less than a 2 minute wait! The variety was pretty much blue square to black diamond and more difficult. We are used to skiing in the East and the green circle trails were closer to an intermediate trail on the East Coast. There was good powder and it's not every day. Towards late afternoon the powder was pushed off and it was a tiny bit icy. We stayed at Shoshone. Short walk to lift. Breakfast was awesome and we enjoyed the hot tub! Long walk in ski boots from room to lift. Not ski in/out.
Lots of advertisements about half off buddy passes for season pass holders, got to the resort only to be told by a rude cashier that half off buddy passes were only for gold pass holders (which was nowhere on the advertisement) and charged a full 230 dollars for a day pass. Seriously soured my experience with the resort. It is disheartening to see so much corporate greed in the ski industry
Thanks for pricing the locals out.and by locals I mean the people that have been here longer than a couple years and didn’t move here with millions to escape a big city. This is sad…I guess money matters the most in this area
The area is beautiful and the skiing was great. Everyone we dealt with was professional and courteous.
Updated. Great skiing. I've been skiing great device since I was 5 and I was hoping to teach my son how to ski up there like I learned how to but your prices have gotten out of control and we can no longer afford to ski at your ski resort.
It’s not Crystal Mt in WA but I get why people think it’s so grand.
The snow today was terrible and grabbed my board all the way down. I had to step out of my binding just to get down the darn hill.
I had more fun at Baker & Alpental for spring snowboarding.
I’m sure it’s great on a powder day but was not today and I’m extremely disappointed.
