Black Sandy State Park reviews
16 Nice clean place for a camping trip or picnic
Fishing is always good. Catching not so much. But Catching on labor day was good.
No cellphone service at this place. Drive back up the road. 2.or 3 miles from camp ground and have service.
Beautiful scenery. Electrical sites. Clean bathrooms. Friendly staff and campers. Good for small boats with nice boat ramps.
Nice campground on the lake. Tight spaces if you want electric. White sand beach cg next door has no electric but large sites
Campground is clean and well taken care of. Docks are nice. Fishing and boat launch have good accessibility. Bathrooms were clean. It's been a really good experience.
Awesome lake. Spot one is very beautiful. The site 5 is also pretty. I recommend it for a night or two.
The park was great, camp hosts exceptional, park ranger nice and helpful. Had trouble With my boat, started paddling back to shore. A great guy and his friend jumped on his boat and came out to help towed us in. That's Montana for you come help make Montana green spend lot of money, it's well spent. You'll be happy you did. Jim
Great place for swimming, fishing, and boating! We didn't camp but it was something I would refer friends too!
This is also another spot that my wife likes to fish and does rather well there especially on this day lots of shoreline to explore plenty of firewood for campfires lots of trails fairly clean well taken care of place
Nice campground right on the lake. Has power hook up but not water or sewer. Water and dump station located outside the park entrance.
State of Montana greed. My taxes already pay for public land. I like the old days where you could park your camper under the tree next to the lake for free.
Very beautiful, its just to crowded for my taste. Driving through was all I could handle. Many of my freinds love to fish there and love it. To each his own.
Had a great time. FWP and camp host are very accommodating. We arrived and found someone in our reserved spot. There was some mix up due to it being the opening weekend but they got us into a decent spot.
Beautiful section to paddleboard! Started a bit rough and windy but got so calm and I've never paddles on water that glassy! Saw so many birds: geese, mallard, merganzer, loons, vultures, and osprey - and tons of HUGE fish jumping.
Very clean, great view but no shade, spaces are extremely close to each other. Camping on gravel
Almost thought the ice was thick enough to drive on after a week of -20 temps. Only 6-9 inches wide due to moving water underneath. Beautiful and peaceful spot in my neighborhood. Glad to have such a nice park so close by.
This time of year, Mid Jan is great to go. A few ppl were ice skating 1 bathroom was open at the end. Busy in summer great winter sunsets.
