Blues BBQ, Billings MT

I ate at Blues yesterday and while I was eating lunch I found a dead spider in my beans. I took the beans back up to the counter and showed the kid working and he asked me if I would like anything else. Hmmm kinda lost my appetite after that. I walked back to my table and threw the rest of my found in the trash. Nobody else working offered to refund my money and said anything. I don’t think I’ll be eating at Blues anytime soon.

I have enjoyed Blues for years. All of the bbq and sides are delicious. They have the best potato salad anywhere.

We came in an hour before they closed and everyone was still smiling and greeted us. The food is always so unbelievably great! Best BBQ in Billings

We had the fabulous four and it was all delicious. It was definitely enough for the two of us and then some! The ribs were our favorite meat and the Mac salad was our favorite side. 10/10 will be back.

Busy place. Drive through, take out and dine in. Food is good, place is usually busy around lunch and dinner

Ordered pulled pork sandwich to go. Got home and no bun. Staff was young ok but i did not see anyone practicing serve safe. No gloves or hair nets on anyone not even people preparing food.

Did not disappoint! I have had great bbq all over the country and Blues is no slouch. I ordered the large rib and brisket combo and I was first shocked by the hefty portion. Most bbq joints tend to be stingy. The sauces and sides were also very good though the meat did not require any sauce (a hallmark of awesome bbq). I highly recommend that you give this spot a try.

Meh.the quality of meat was disappointing. The staff were all very friendly though and the prices great. I'd rather pay more though for higher quality. Fun local place to try out!

Staff was friendly. Service was prompt. Ribs were very good! Ribs were not slathered with sauce; which is what I prefer. Pulled pork was overcooked. Had a mushy texture.

Was the best bbq food we’ve ever had. The ribs were perfect and the ranch pasta salad was to die for! The bbq sauce was so flavorful and don’t get me started on the beans. Everyone needs to try this place hidden gem for sure!

Blues BBQ did a fantastic job catering for our wedding. They were timely, polite, helpful, and the food was super delicious. We got a lot of compliments on the quality and the tastiness of the food. Thanks Blues BBQ!

Great BBQ - I've been eating here for at least 6 to 8yrs now and it's always good. They fixed the sides about a year or two ago and i really like the ranch pasta salad, just wish they used less mayo or whatever the base it. The flavor is good though, and way better than their old sides.

They really have the best bbq around and probably in MT and I've had most of the best bbq in this country. Jack Daniels World Championships, Arthur Bryants, St. Louis, KC, Tennessee, etc. I used to travel a lot and I'd always be sure to check at least one out along the way. Anyhow you won't go wrong here for sure. I can eat the brisket or ribs without sauce all day.

I already knew Montana was king, for years Ive said the best bbq Ive had in my life was in Great Falls. I was skeptikal when i arrived, its connected to a gas station after all. I ordered the small rib plate and the brisket and smoked turkey combo. I actually ate in order of greatness coincidentally.the slaw, nothing special, the potato salad, yumm love eggy potatoy joy. Then the beans extra good big hunks of pork sweet and thick. Then the brisket, never had brisket like this not overdone with some pink so thick and juicy. The turkey, perfectly smoked juicy and a joy to eat. Then the ribs. My oh my never ever have i had ribs like this. At first glance they seem charred snd look dry. Then you bite in and its so tender moist and just the right spice rub on it. You know its real goodness when they serve all their meats unsauced, thats confidence in your perfectly cooked offerings. I would have paid 100 for this it was that good. I feel deeply saddened that i live 1000 miles away.

Great service good food a coworker told me about the place I’m from Texas and this makes me feel like I’m back at home will definitely come back again

Blues BBQ catered an Employee Appreciation event for our staff of about 350. They were INCREDIBLE to work with! The food was wonderful, the staff was organized and prepared and came with everything ready to go and they have great prices plus were able to work with us on some extras. It was so fabulous and easy to work with Blues, and we highly recommend them for future events! Thank you Blues BBQ!

Blues BBQ catered our wedding reception a couple of weeks ago. We couldn't have asked for a better experience or better food. Kim was wonderful to communicate with during the whole process. I have out of state guests asking me to bring Blues BBQ with me when I visit. Thank you so much for making our day special.

I have been an avid fan of everything about blues bbq. However a couple hours ago we got 6ribs and two pulled pork sandwiches. The buns were hard and cold. The ribs were terribly chewy, it was very hard to get and meat off the bone, and it seemed like a whole container of salt and pepper was poured on it. The ribs were so salty I couldn't eat it. And it definitely wasn't worth the work. I'm so incredibly disappointed.

First of all, thumbs up on the food. I’ve had BBQ in all 50 states, and eaten at all the best places. I also consider myself to be a pitmaster and would put my ribs and brisket up against any… but I’m here to talk about Blues. The brisket was a tad dry but smoky and tender. The ribs were close to perfect — which to me means the meat maintains its integrity and doesn’t fall off the bone. The beans, with a squirt of hot BBQ sauce were very good and I liked the coleslaw. The hot BBQ sauce was Memphis-style —it wasn’t hot but had a good sweetness. The mild was kind of flavorless. All of that said, I gave it three stars because the place is a dump — as bad as I’ve ever seen. The dining room is more like the messiest store room, than it is a place to eat. I can’t imagine caring so little about your customers that you’d have them sit there. See the photos. I’ll eat here again, but am likely to use the drive through.
