Boom Swagger Salon, Missoula MT

This business uses “boom” for all the wrong reasons.
1. Incendiary and destructive
2. Fail miserably
3. A series of attacks
“Boom” and stagger away is more like it.

Unfortunately, my hair will take months to recover. BoomSwagger butchered my hair with an uneven haircut. Over-processed the dye so it is frizzy and falling out. Promised a refund for ruining my hair but has not followed through. Mind BLOWN, but not in a good way. I guess boom isn’t a good thing

I first discovered this salon in 2013. A decade later and they are still just as amazing. At other places I’ve got fine haircuts, but usually feel like I have to let it grow out a little before it really looks great. Not the case with Mario. He’s the best!

Haircuts themselves are good but the person in charge of scheduling either needs to find some serious help or a new line of work. Scheduled three different appointments for a haircut and brow wax, could only ever get the haircut each time. This past time I even took an appointment slot that was a week and a half later specifically so I could get my eyebrows waxed, still no luck.

Worst salon I've ever gone to. Asked for the simplest hair cut to get attitude and say it wouldn't work like I don't know my hair. I walked out looking like Johnny Depp in willy Wonka. I personally don't recommend this place as they don't care or listen to their customers.

Very professional staff, and the best cuts I've had. Their prices reflect the return. Colby is talented and a pleasure. If their prices fit your budget then you will walk out of their salon satisfied every time.

Very disappointed. Asked specifically for a Master Stylist because I was willing to spend extra for the best. I learned - don’t ask for layers. I had to go 3 times and this was the result of my hair cut, looks like it was cut by a toddler with very jagged and rough ends. The owner was there and saw me come in for 3 consecutive weeks and never seemed concerned or inquired. They clearly do not need my business.

In July 2022 I had an appointment that I had scheduled several months in advance with Amanda. I was called by the receptionist the day before asking if I could come in an hour early. I let them know I had a Dr’s Appt I could not move. The next morning they called again asking if I could come an hour early because there was a break between Amanda’s Appts and she wanted to leave early. I reminded them I had a Dr’s Appt, but said I would try to come directly after to get there as early as possible to accommodate their request. While on my way to the appt I received a text asking if I was still coming and I replied I was on my way. I was still early for my appt, but apparently they moved it to the earlier time. I saw Amanda walking to her car and was told there must have been a mix up. In the six years I received services at Boom Swagger I have never been late for an appt and always tipped well. The receptionist told me they rescheduled me for a different time later in the week. Unfortunately I had work conflicts as I work full time hence made the appt months in advance to take time off. They called and texted me several times trying to get me to reschedule and offered a 20% discount. I found the entire situation unprofessional and took my business else where. I will never use Boom Swaggers services again and recommend they rethink how they treat their long term customers. Additionally their hours changed during Covid and it is difficult to coordinate time since they no longer offer weekend or evening appts.

It is difficult to find such a high concentration of expert hair stylists as there are at Boom Swagger Salon. I hit the lottery with this group. I wear a long bob and any number of cutters can handle the job. I had two haircuts. Booked number three four months in advance, so I am sticking with these guys!
Update. My stylist moved and the others are not taking new clients. Ho hum. I guess that my 7883 views threw me under the bus. It was nice while it lasted. I found a great new hair cutter and will keep it a secret.
