Cafe Rio Mexican Grill, Missoula MT

Veterans’ Day discount was much appreciated. Chairs screech across floor. Need felt pads or other cushioning. Food and service are great. Romaine lettuce on tostadas was very crispy and fresh.

NEVER AGAIN. YOUR SERVICE HAS SLOWLY BEEN GOING DOWN HILL. GOT TACOS WITH EXTREMLY SOGGY SOGGY SHELLS. BARELY A SCOOP OF MEAT (WHICH WAS THE FREAKIN BOTTOM OF THE CONTAINER) MORE LETTUCE THEN ANYTHING ELSE, AND THE MEAT WAS OBVIOUSLY OLD. DISGUSTING. YOU ALL SHOULD BE ASHAMED WITH YOUR NIGHT CREW.

HORRIBLE I HOPE YOU READ THE REVIEWS BEFORE YOU WENT BECAUSE I WISH I DID. I WILL NEVER RETURN TO THIS LOCATION COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL FOOD WASNT GREAT BUT THE BIGHEST THING WAS IT WAS FILTHY. WHEN I SAY FILTHY I MEAN LIKE MOLD AND BACTERIA EVERYWHERE STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. THE ICE MACHINE IS HORRENDOUS I DIDNT EVEN GET A DRINK YOU GUYS ARE GOING TO KILL SOMEOME OR MAOE SOMEONE VERY SICK WITH THAT ICE MACHINE. I CAN O LY IMAGINE HOW DIRTY IT IS IN THE BACK IF THE FRONT WHERE CUSTOMERS WERE THAT DIRTY I CANT EVEN IMAGINE THE BACK. IN FACT I WILL BE CALLING THE HEALTH DEPARTMENT FIRST THING IN THE MORNING. SHUT THIS PLACE DOWN CLEAN IT UP AND SEE IF SOMEONE COMPETENT CAN RUN IT RIGHT.

Nothing clean about this place. The food line was a mess. The guy rolling the dough was slapping another coworker with it! The only friendly person was the cashier. The drink area was full of splatters, corrosion, and disgusting. I wouldn’t even touch the ice maker as the metal lever to push was covered in filth, maybe even mold. There wasn’t a clean table in the place, and the food was extremely sub par. The health department should shut this place down. Corporate please fix this location. My friend loves this chain but not this location. Horrible experience.

A bunch of unorganized kids with no apparent leadership. Rice was uncooked, still hard and crunchy. The food was way too salty. The drink island was a mess. This place is a train wreck.

Cafe Rio has the best staff they are always so very nice. They recognize me as one of their regulars. Best food, love Taco Tuesday.

This place seems like a great consistent option. Part of my ordering was my fault since I was unfamiliar. My social anxiety while ordering pushed out a “yes” to enchilada style when I in fact did not want to eat my burrito with a fork and knife. It was good though. The pork is a little sweet for my taste but not anything too disconcerting. Would definitely go back.

Rude employees and cold food.
No it wasn’t take out…. We were in the restaurant for our meal and it was cold. Then we were told by a teenager employee how the temperature of our food was supposed to be. Unfreakingbelievable.

We were excited to find a Cafe rio in missoula as we had enjoyed eating there when we lived out east.
We were quickly disappointed. My wife's soup was stone cold and I had to drain the water off my drenched tacos, very disappointing

Manager of this location does not feel wildland firefighters deserve a first responder discount because they were not “on duty”.

It's sad because the food can be amazing, it just isn't here anymore. The cleanliness is just bizarre as it appears no one cares/tries. There used to be excitement from employees and a sense of fun. Now they are gloomy and seem to hate their job let alone make you a quality meal. I look forward to my trips out of state so I can go enjoy the food as It's meant to be. I used to bring friends here all the time, now I take them somewhere else.

Use to be a great place but staff doesn’t take It as serious. My food was shoved everywhere. They got my order wrong. There was hair in my food they forgot my chips.

Very clean, very nice people. The best Mexican food in Missoula! They have very large portions, and their app is worth it for the rewards!

My wife and I were just in and witnessed a very disturbing incident. A customer came in and picked up an order and as he was walking out two Spanish speaking employees loudly mocked him in Spanish as he left.

The woman initiated the harassment and directed her comments about the customer to a male employee who was walking through the dining room to the bathroom in front of a dining room full of customers. She was extremely loud as she cackled at him. The male also engaged in laughing at and harassing this unsuspecting man.

I guess these two people assumed none of us Montanas speak Spanish, but some do.

And as petty as it was, they were making fun of the hat he was wearing. It was red cap and this meant he was a conservative.

He was courteous and respectful to this woman and she was extremely nasty in return.

This was harassment of a customer. This is entirely inappropriate and unacceptable behavior from adults. This place is going down hill quickly.

How could you trust people like this to not spit in your food? Seriously.

Needless to say we will not be back.
