Great meal, excellent service, yummy drinks, will definitely be back! Strawberry key lime mule was AMAZING and our server, Josh E, was really nice and helpful!

First time in. Service was friendly. Prices were normal. They set down some crackers and dip. We had to ask what the dip was. The menu was hard to read, the print was tiny! The food was good, timing was a bit off when serving it. Salad came out first, right behind that came the appetizer, and not even a minute later came out our meal. By the time we ate the salad and some of the appetizer, our meal was cold.

Got the pulled pork sandwich. Pork is tender, cooked well, and bun was good, would suggest adding more seasoning, the meat was good by itself but slightly bland. Sweet potatoe fries were perfect, crispy but not overcooked. Not a fan of the hotsauce, I like hotsauce but that's not for me, but that's just personal preference. I'll return.

I ordered a Double rack of baby back ribs to take home and was disappointed. We have been going to CJ’s for over 20 years and we pick up ribs because we live out of town. The chips they gave us were 1/4 of what they used to be, only one loaf of bread when we should have had 2. To top that the bread was mushy on top and a rock hard on the bottom. The one rack of ribs was dried out and charred. The cole slaw came in small containers, was too peppery and tasted funny and to top it off the price on the website is $50 and we were charged $68… Not only did the price increase we received way less food!

Worst French dip I've ever had no Toasted Bun and au jus was cold normally I love this place!

I love the sauce here. The food is good, I think a little pricy, but good. I got the sliced brisket with mild sauce and I love it. The service is always so so, but never horid. I also had a Cesar salad and it was well made and the dressing was good.

Good food but seriously need to dust the support beams and wood rafters. Once you do that I’ll change to much higher review.
It has since been cleaned.

My wife and I used to really enjoy coming here but we hadn’t been to CJ’s in years so we thought we’d stop in on a trip back to Billings. The host and waitress were very nice but the food was extremely disappointing (BAD). We ordered a teriyaki chicken and a prime rib dip sandwich. The chicken came without teriyaki or any flavoring at all. Very bland. The sandwich was wrong when it came out the first time. The second time it came out microwaved and rubbery with so much fat in the prime rib shavings it was inedible. If you go to CJ’s, stick to the lavosh and drinks. There are much better places to eat in town.

Have had good meals many times in the past. Today's lunch was a big disappointment. The pork sandwiches were very dry and the pork itself had no taste it came with a runny sauce on the side that did nothing to improve the dried out meat.
The potato skins/chips were terrible we couldn't even eat them as the were so tough and again tasteless.
Was a waste of money and time. So sad I I don't like to complain but I think this was necessary.

No condiments (mustard, catsup) served with burgers, two waitresses were unaware of what the menu stated, misleading descriptions of food.

Try the pizza.trust me! Also great are the Wing Zings, ribs, sliced pork and the Nachos are the best in town. Homemade dressings at the salad bar are incredible! The sandwiches are large. Insider Tip: The Turkey Club & BLT can be ordered as 1/2 sandwiches. The homemade potato chips are called "Skins" which is short for "Skin-on-fries". Get some BBQ on the side for dipping. Medium is my "go-to".

Loved this restaurant with the old owners. In the short time since they retired, the food doesn't taste quite the same. Also the wine and beer choices are limited.

The service was unnecessarily slow. The baby back rib section was small, overcooked, and fatty. My wifes chicken was overcooked as well. In the past, we have had good experiences here. There is new ownership, so we will give them another chance before passing final judgment.

The restaurant itself is very dirty. We sat at a booth.
The food was mediocre at best.

First time eating here and the food was excellent and the service topped that. We had probably the best server I have had in 3 years at any restaurant. Kylie was our server and she was AMAZING! We will definitely be a repeat customer when in town.

I started going to CJ's when it was in a former gas station on Grand, the ribs were great and they are still as good or better than I remembered. The skins are just about the best chips I've had. Finally, the salad bar is worth every penny.

Several members of our church have lunch together every Sunday and try to visit different restaurants every week. CJs is one of our favorites, especially the Soup & Salad bar.
