This is a pretty good place to camp, good spot for boaters.the camps were well maintained and the vualt toilet was pretty clean also. The lake was right next to the camp site. A downside was that most of the campsites were close to each other. We stayed in the walk to sites that weren't too far from the nearest parking spot. You might also be able to see deer here, I was walking to the bathroom at night, and there was some deer right next to the bathroom. Overall it's a nice place and I would probably come here again!

Beautiful! Looked well kept and safe. Public restrooms had paper and were clean.

As usual a great corp of engineers camp ground. Paved spots, nice picnic tables and grills, lots of doors on the water. Fresh water for your tanks available at a couple of places. 30 minutes to Helena. Several vault toilets.

Pretty spot with easy access to the reservoir and calm coves to paddle. We paddled all the way around the island in the early morning. Camp host was friendly and welcoming. Only downsides were that the rec site was very difficult to reserve without the app. Ended up having to spend almost an hour on the phone to get a spot before we learned the website malfunctions on iPhone and needed to get the app. And we did notice the start of what looked* like an algal bloom floating into the cove. So be cautious. Next time we travel through the states we will use the app and check the Montana HAB map for blooms to plan ahead. If water is HAB-free, we would totally stay here again because it was a very relaxing stay!

Beautiful location! The sites are always pristine (fire pit clean, no pet presents). As with most places around the lake be aware that many people have their dogs off-leash, but we have had no issues.
