3Late season (09/12) stop on our trip to Glacier. Good place to park for the night. Quiet and only one other camper. The restroom was a disaster but functional. Locals like to park by the creek. One gentleman was working his hunting dog flushing pheasants in the field, really fun to watch the dogs work and the game fly. No shooting, just flushing birds. FOUR STARS because it was free. We sent a donation to the county clerk. I hope they use it to clean the restrooms.
Free. Beautiful. Open Cottonwood canopy over grass. Scattered fire rings. They just refurbished and reopened the toilets. Non-potable water. Locals like to drive here for fishing or lunch in their vehicles. Some are rather noisy. Some fishermen. Walking trails nearby. Self/contained only at this time- no tents.
Cant beat the price (free) but seems like a lot of people just driving thru. Ok for a one nighter.
