Cracker Barrel Old Country Store, Missoula MT

This was only our second visit to a cracker barrel and it was much better than the first. We almost didn't eat here because our first experience was ok but not great. We thought the food was bland. But that wasn't the case here. Very tasty!

I ordered by calling in and I picked up my order. I placed an order for 2 dinners to go. The 1st meal I ordered country fried steak with 3 sides, mash potatoes, fried okra and steamed broccoli. The country fried steak, fried okra, mash potatoes and steamed broccoli was great with meal #1. The 2nd meal I ordered the hamburger steak with 2 sides, loaded baked potatoe and steamed broccoli. The steamed broccoli was great with meal #2. However the hamburger steak was dry and the ONLY condiments I received with the loaded baked potatoe was the bacon and cheese on top. I didn't receive the butter, chives or sour cream.

I walked in to the store to place my order. I mentioned the mistakes from my first order to the employee who was taking my order. I again ordered 2 dinners to go. The 1st meal I ordered the fried catfish, turnip greens and mashed potatoes. The turnip greens were good. The fried fish had a taste of dirty frying oil and was a very small piece of catfish. The mashed potatoes were very dry and had very little gravy. The 2nd meal I ordered country fried chicken, loaded baked potatoe and turnip greens. The baked potatoe was great. The fried chicken had a taste of dirty frying oil. And I didn't receive the turnip greens, PERIOD.

I have restaurant cook experience. I've used a frying oil filter machine. I would suggest either filtering your frying oil or changing it out. And for the missing side of turnip greens and missing condiments for the loaded baked potato I would suggest that you not simply sign the quality check field on the receipt. Instead do your job and perform a quality check.

Will never eat here again after several issues. I wanted to order the fried chicken, waitress said they were out of chicken. No worries, ordered the meatloaf, fried okra and mashed potatoes. The meatloaf tasted like canned meat hash and the glaze had tin can taste to it. Also, I only recieved 5 peices of chopped okra and was told that was the portion.no, it's not. I thought about ordering the catfish to replace my meal, but, I over heard from another table their catfish was soggy and mushy. I ate the 5 pieces of okra and the mashed potatoes, paid for full meal, and left for good.

I love going to The Cracker Barrel Old Country Store. I love the food and I've never had poor customer service when I'm there. If I had a way to get there I would totally work there

Standard Cracker Barrel - same setup everywhere, but our waitress was outstanding here. With some definite dietary sensitivities (not standard allergen menu stuff) in our family she took the time to go find exact ingredients to help find thinks that would work! Above and beyond! (Ma’am, I’m truly sorry I didn’t remember your name - I’d love to give you a shout-out!)

A cook in a bad mood having a power trip completely ruined Cracker Barrel for me after 20 years of loving it. Worked there for 4 years and ate there EVERY time we visited Missoula the past 10 years. Basically you do not ask them to correct the cook ON ANYTHING or the cooks purposely ruin your meal oit of spite by extremely over doing something

Probly will NOT be back after this. There used to be assistant managers over looking food and orders so this doesn't happen.

Absolutely love this place. The service this time was amazing! Seated so fast and the ladies were amazing.

The staff was super friendly. I love this company in general but this location was excellent.

We had a long day driving in our RV and decided to stay in the parking lot of Cracker Barrel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We ate a late supper inside and the dumplings were perfect!
We will have breakfast also!

If you've seen one, you've seen them all. Food tastes good, but be prepared to hit the toilet before you leave.

I love cracker barrel, i really do. Its unfortunate we didn't wven get seated. They were not that busy. We actually left after 20 minutes and hearing one of the hoste say they have plenty of tables and the need to start seating people. Maybe better luck next time.

What can I say. Food and service are always the best. I love the consistency of this chain.

Always love this place, been coming since i was a child and Missoula always has such welcoming people
