D & B Muffler & Brake Shop, Bozeman MT

Well since my experience with this muffler shop was done. I don't know how in welding on a new flange it "mysteriously got bent". (which is very obvious to me it didn't get bent without a lot of heat) so the bracket even though I was able to put it back on it didn't fit on there because it was literally bent into a new direction. Unfortunately it's twisted just enough to be touching my rear tire. After it melted through the wheel well and popped four tires on a road trip that I thought I was safe to drive. I no longer feel recommending this shop. There are other options. I feel I definitely spent more money than it's worth. I wouldn't have even noticed if he didn't say "come back and get a new tip because it looks bent" I probably will not spend any more money here and I recommend you probably try to exert other options.

This world is in dire need of more RJs; he took care of us from start to finish and went above and beyond in helping repair some damage that was holding me back. We had checked so many other places before and RJ was willing to step up when no one else did. That man needs a raise, or a nice bonus- just saying.

Super-professional and trustworthy. I booked a few days ahead of time and the catalytic converters were swapped out in just a few hours in the price quoted. Very good communication and friendly service. I would go back in the future.

Passing through town with truck issues, and out of the dozen of shops I talked to, RJ was the MOST willing to try to help. I didn't end up taking the truck there, but he spent a good amount of time on a busy morning trying to track down parts and gave an honest recommendation.

Fantastic service. Fixed my car quick. After he fixed my exhaust I couldn't even tell my car was running. It was so long since my car was that quiet.

I have had nothing but positive experiences with RJ. Initially, when I had catalytic converter issues, he took time to go over all the different car elements that can cause a converter to go bad. He then read the engine codes. I then was able to have my mechanic check these out and rectify. This January, I started getting engine code again and my mechanic said it was converter related. Taking my van back to RJ, he checked out and said although not often, but the converter had failed and all would be covered under warranty. He was very courteous and prompt in replacing the catalytic converter.

I read an earlier review where someone said RJ had given them grief and made it all difficult. I just can't imagine why as again, he was most helpful and then when I had an issue without hesitation stood behind his work.

RJ is a person who gets the job done. We were in a real difficult situation with the exhaust pipe on our motorhome broken apart. Calling D&D Muffler with no knowledge of who to call in Bozeman, we struck gold. RJ said he had a couple of cancellations and was able to get us in around noon. After visually assessing our exhaust, he said, “No problem. I do this all the time. ” Asking him how long it would take to manufacture a new Y-pipe and install it, he said, “An hour to an hour and a half. ” As indicated, he called us at 1.5 hours to pick up the coach. I was very happy and impressed. His price of $400 was very fair. Hopefully we never have to see him again for a broken exhaust. But if you’ve got such a problem, RJ comes with our highest recommendation. Thank You RJ for saving our bacon.
